    Hi Marky,

Have you got a recommendation for a good meal in Chinatown? TIA.
  • Can't reccommend any where in China town we founfd it dirty and smelly and the people we were speaking to coudln't understand a word so we niped over to the other sied, Little Italy, restauranta a plenty, good value and generaly more pleasant. I am sure there arte some good places it's just a case of knowing where.
As for Woodbury Common, well we loved it. Loads of lovely things in Nautica and Ralph Lauren. I bougt RL bedding, towels and beach towels everything was a good 50% less than you would pay in the UK. Good Nine West outlet plus loads of designers. We liked Southstreet Seaport, excellent Abercrombie and Fitch and Victorias Secret, plus a bucket shop for theatre tickets.

Not many Chinese restaurants in Little Italy though!!!
  • No but China town ends up on one side of the street and Little Italy on the opposite street where there are lots of lovely restaurants with plenty of choice. Where we were in China town we didn't find anywhere that looked enticing although I am sure there must be some good places.

i've only ever had a small meal in chinatown, which was when i was with a bigapplegreeter... so i really can't recommend anything around there..

if you go at normal eating times, take a look at the busiest ones (yeah, service might be slower), but ones full of locals, are probably the best ones around.

I wouldn't say it was dirty, but its a lot of narrow streets, and a good atmosphere, but its not my thing, i'd rather find a nicer chinese restaurant, and i'm sure there is a good one around 14th street / union square
