That would explain my bargain flight to San Francisco.

Booked through Expedia. It's a BA flight.

Just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to get the PNR number from Expedia to input on the BA website so that I can choose my seats?

    TIA

    Neil.
  • This was an error on Expedia's computer system.
Someone had keyed in the dates for the January sale incorrectly. As of yesterday you could book flights to JFK, IAD, BOS and a couple others for 249 / 259 return no matter what days or time of year!

I purchased two flights on Sunday night to Boston for a total of 508 leaving Monday 18th August returning Friday 22nd August.

I suspected something was wrong as the British Airways web page was quoting the same flights at 1866 (and they claim to be the cheapest!).

First thing this morning expedia pulled all the cheap flights off the site - my flight now shows on Expedia as 1866 - the same as BA was yesterday. I am expecting them to cancel my booking but at the moment havent heard anything!

Heres hoping they dont chase up all those bookings!

    Hi All!
Thank you, esp Markymoo for a great thread
I'm looking at NYC for a weekend start of October...to mark my 40th. Problem is we can only really do 3 nights as we have to get back for the kids....looking at the cheap flights that would leave us getting to New York at 2.30pm on a thurs and flying out Sunday afternoon. Question is it worth going all that was and spending 1500 for an evening and 2 full days?

Also I know about the 3 month rule for flights...at the mo they're 310 from Gatwick...and have appear to have got more expensive...should we really risk waiting?
  • Saucer, in my opinion you should wait. There is always a flight sale for october with all the big airlines and a bit of Patience will get you to NYC for between £220 and £260 depending on whether you fly AA, BA or Virgin.

I have flown to NYC numerous times at that time of the year and have never paid more than £250.
  • Hi all,

Am flying to New York or Boston for a wedding, need to fly ideally 20/08/2008, but could do the next day and can come back anytime after 27/08/2008, within reason, can't get more than a couple of weeks off work.

Could fly into NYC and out of Boston, but flexible either way as NYC seems to be always be cheaper.

Currently Virgin is £415, FlyZoom £407...am I best to wait and see what's available 3 months ahead? What is a good sort of price to aim for, if i see it on an August flight and will need to snap it up immediately?

    TIA

Thanks for that....do you think the summer is the best time to look?
  • Hi I'm looking to go from Cancun (mexico) to New York on the 21 March via plane. About a week ago, prices using Aeromexico at 8.45pm arriving at 7am were £83 - now its a staggering £170.

Anyone know if prices normally become cheaper again?
