one thing to note with hotelconxions...

when you booked, did it say "REQUEST" or "BOOK NOW"

if it said "REQUEST" they physically didn't have any rooms left in their pot of rooms they have to sell, and will have had to contact the hotel to check, and this will make the process longer..

if it said "BOOK NOW", you will get an email straight after, saying the request if being processed, and then a second email, telling you that the room is booked etc etc..

It was book now and I got the email. It just hasn't budged from processing.

    I'll give them a buzz.

    Hmmm

Just called, they say they left a message on my phone saying they didn't have the 30 30 on those dates (I have no message :( ).

The lady also gave me a new web address, which apparently shows everything in real time. http://www.hotelrooms365.com/

Got half way through a booking for the New Yorker on the phone, cut off. Called back, theres no room available.

I think I'll try booking with the hotel directly, these people seem to be idiots!

Well they came through with the New Yorker hopefully, reserved on the phone and got another booking request email. I really hope they don't fudge it this time.

    Cheers for the advice guys.

hotelconxions are not idiots.. i've booked with them 6 times now, and never had a single problem...

now, the other site, is just a general booking site, where hotelconxions there are discounts on the hotels, so, if they have it on hotelconxions it will be cheaper there...

I'll reserve judgement until I get the confirmation email which should be here by 17:30 EST apparently.

It just seemed strange the way things have gone so far. No conact telling me the room was unavailable, then to be told I could book it on another site they own for more, then to be told the New Yorker was ok through hotelconxsions, cut off, wrang back and told room not available, put on told, told it was

It'll be grand if I get the confirmation email, id it doesnt come through and the room isn't available in the New Yorker it'll be a joke.

I'm in NY in 4 weeks time and this time I am taking a trip to Woodbury Common, leaving on a Grayline Bus from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Has anyone done this before and is the PABT an easy place to negotiate? I will be purchasing my ticket on-line. I will then be issued with a voucher to exchange for a ticket - is this straightforward?

Also, having never taken a bus to Woodbury Common, is it wise to turn up well in advance of the time the bus is scheduled to depart, I assume it is first come first served? The PABT looks huge, I've downloaded the map, but I have visions of going around in circles and getting very lost!!

Hi, we did this last march. The PABT is not hard to get around at all. There were queues last march so do get there early. We did not get our tickets online, but at the port authority on the day.You may want to try jersey gardens-which I actually found better, but both are good.

    Good morning, all!

I'd be super grateful if Markymoo, Crabman, anyone could help... I'm hoping to arrange a birthday surprise for my sister (lives in Brooklyn). I'd love to get her 2 tickets to a B'way show (something she & her partner never find the time to do...)

So my Q: Can I purchase a ticket/voucher from here [Scotland]? Anyone have an idea of a great show? Something uplifting/amusing? (Sorry, acushlas, that's become q's and not just one q...) Safest, most reputable theatre ticketing online? Twofers?

    Cheers!!
Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...
