MSE News: Sainsbury's to axe its mobile service: What it means for you

I agree with Lateagain - I use 3's 3-2-1 and my wife has Sainsbury's (only because ASDA got all huffy with Vodafone and went to EE a couple of years ago). EE's coverage iwasn't all that great where we live. We find VF better in a lot of places than 3, that's why we are on different networks.
Generally though we don't use the mobile when we are at home - we've got a landline for that so it's coverage in other places that we require especially in remote areas (we caravan a lot)
We've tried O2 and found that to be a bit random and previously I was on T-Mobile (now EE I think), again a bit hit & miss.
We'll probably try out an ASDA sim, otherwise she'll just go to 3 and accept that it doesn't have the coverage - 3's 3-2-1 is the cheapest option at only 3p a min.
Neither of us use more than about £20 a year on mobile phone calls & texts and we both have all the IT that we want at home without needing to check everything everywhere so data isn't a requirement. We don't want bundles- just a basic Paygo phone service with a few texts.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Hi d123, I wasn't suggesting Mobile by Sainsbury's as an alternative, I was simply answering someone's question on which providers piggyback off Vodafone's network - and Mobile by Sainsbury's will still do this until 15 Jan 16.
Here's the info again for anyone who missed it and a link to our piggybacking guide - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/piggybacking

No, that is not a satisfactory explanation in my opinion.0 -

Indeed, it is an answer that makes no sense whatsoever.
Why delete a whole, useful, thread?
And why tell us it was due to Sphinx's request?
Who is Sphinx and what have they got to do with it?0 -

I believe he was which is probably why MSE acted on it.0 -

Susie, we're not asking you.
We're asking MSE - who have given a very odd answer and one which is not an explanation.
Whether or not Sphinx was the creator of the thread it seems odd that the thread was deleted on their say-so, especially as MSE staff were already actively linking to the thread and therefore knew that the thread was already useful and that it was needed.
But this is MSE's Forum, so if they want to delete threads without telling us why I s'pose they can - though in this case it seems a little counter-productive.0
