My toilet is dripping (from cistern to bowl). Dr Google says its a faulty valve seal. So I've turned off the supply to the cistern and emptied it. I'm going to take the seal off, and take it to bee-n-queue in the morning and ask them to find me the right replacement one.

    Get me!!! Plumber extraordinaire!

Kiddies will have to use a different toilet. Just as well we have 3 lol.

  • Bossy I am impressed. I am famously bad at anything practical.

Where did today go? Paid stuff, dog walked, shepherds pie made, 2 beds changed, washing out and back in, couple of phone calls made, gym class, kitchen tidied and dw loaded. Just going to get DS to help me put clean bedding on his bed and finish his bedroom.
  • Evening all

I know, YL, where did today go? Wednesday is always my ' full of good intentions day ' as it is my day off the paid stuff. However, after a leisurely six mile dog walk with a friend,I then had lunch, did Internet shop at same time, then a bit of daily stuff, then a man came to talk to us about solar panels (which jogged my memory and prompted me to eat a frog and change energy supplier). By this time it was school pick up time. Nothing more done as it is swimming lesson night.

poohbear blimey, hope it is not too painful tonight and you get some sleep.

pigpen you seem to be on one at the moment, I want some of your fling and scrub power!

    Morning

    Hope you are all ok

Just has a bloke I know arrive in my office, making comments about how clear it was :), so I put him to work to move some large bits of office cabinets etc around, so now there is even more room, just got to make sure I don't fill it with clutter!! :) industrial meter reader here as well now, so he is helping with the last bit of furniture to move, well he did offer so it would have been rude not to accept his offer.

    Kudos on your delegation skills:rotfl::T
Many condolences, Iona; Hope your mum is making good progress Dusty. Flying done - nada, nyet, zilch

Bossy- sounds like your kids are happy and doing well at school. You must be very proud!
Dance um- well done on the weight loss!

Got in from swimming at 5. Made dinner and made sure I washed up and sorted the dining room which looks lovely. :)
I also cleared the stairs of clutter. They were becoming a death trap. Bins emptied and two loads of washing done.

Hubby then suggested a night in front of the box which has been lovely. We don't get many nights where I'm not working or we aren't running or coaching. So a lazy night with a tub of ben and jerrys! Naughty but nice!

I didn't get out to the charity shop today. I got my dailies done, then I needed to sort my work cash out to pay into the bank and it took 3 attempts to get it right for some reason. It was 1pm by then, I had lunch and I felt so drained that I decided to stay home and do some jobs I've been putting off for the best part of the year. I did the sewing repairs and fixed a pair of earrings DD's friend bought her for Christmas last year but they broke. I've told her they're fixed but not wearable as the joint is too fragile. Then I attacked a paint your own piggy bank DD wanted cleaning up to re-do, and finally fixed a skeleton model which had a snapped part by which time DD was home from school.

Tonight I've made tea, charged my phone and pottered about downstairs. I've just done the washing up and S&S the kitchen so I'm off to bed. Hopefully when I get up in the morning I'll have more energy as its paid stuff first thing then again tomorrow evening. I might as well run the charity shop tomorrow afternoon, and I also need to run to Mr A for more milk, bread and return the jeans I bought.

  • Morning, ooh am I first up?

DS woke me up at 2.30am brushing his teeth and clattering about in the bathroom. He is all over the place at the moment.

Paid stuff this morning. Kitchen does need a good going over. Going to put stew in the sc before I go to work and get yet more washing hung out. Hopefully its going to be a nice day - still dark at the moment.

Have a nice Thursday everyone x
