I keep reading 'do you need your winter duvet yet on the copied lists and it's making me smile - I am a cold-ish person so I swapped over weeks ago!

Same here, I only had the summer one on for about 3 months this year!

I only have winter duvets. If I get too hot, I just sleep on top. Would definitely frighten any burglars off :rotfl:

I didn't even put my summer duvet on this year

Parents evening was great! DS teacher is really pleased, said he's doing very well in all subjects and always tries hard :T he even apologised about the mix up about the school trip "issue". DD teacher was also enthusiastic. I showed her a book she read last night and she said "oh I think we're sending home the wrong books, I'll take her for something a bit more interesting tomorrow" so they are doing a couple of tests and she might go into yr1 for the odd session. Proud mama :D

Just had dinner so I'll pick the bits of chicken and potato off the floor (they may be bright kiddies, but they are not house trained!!!) and go sort the kitchen mess!

Thank you for your thoughts. Befriender visit wasn't too bad. Ds2 acknowledged lady when she said hello. He continued playing a game. We had a coffee and talked about what we had done in the summer. He replied when I asked him to help me describe some of our activities. The only downside is that I think I'm allergic to her (perfume or dog perhaps) my eye is swollen and my skin is uncomfortable. I best take some tablets before the next visit.

    Lost 3lb this week

    20l dehumidifier emptied

    House S&s done

I was full of good intentions yesterday but managed to fall and fracture some ribs.

The lengths some people go to to get out of flying ....

    Sorry about the chook.

So glad the parents' evening went well, Bossy. You've got a fabulous pair of kids and that means you're a wonderful mother.

Yes, sort of, Ionafan. I use a Covent Garden recipe for beetroot soup with cumin when I've got space in the freezer which is stunning, very borschty if you see what I mean, but with a kick. Dead easy, too, if you don't mind grating raw beetroot which I don't. Blokes seem to particularly like it, which always helps when we've got beefy people helping around the place, or just staying. Quick lunch, dead cheap, dead easy, happy chappies. My kind of cooking.

Chocolate cookies baked. Won't be using that recipe again.
    Better is good enough.

*Sticks head around corner*. Hello everyone. Thought I would check back in after a lovely message from a flylady.

Things a bit hectic as have second voluntary job. We have some of the London poppies here at a local museum. They are displayed down from the pit head and are beautiful. My job is looking after the poppies and visitors. 60,000 up to now.

Flying lessons learnt have helped me keep up with stuff in the house.

Now to catch up a bit on the thread.
