    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Evening all :hello:

Iona - sending condolences to you and yours. Good to hear he had such a full and eventful life.

Dusty - pleased to hear your Mum's through the op and gw vibes for her

Pigpen - sounds like you've been busy again. !! Poor DS3 - hope the ABs soon work and he's feeling better.

Checked all bank accounts and did a bit of a money shuffle as needed. Cleared some of the plants from the balcony boxes that were on the way out and watered the rest.
Finally sewed some Velcro onto the hood and the collar of my waterproof jacket, so that the hood will stay rolled up when not needed. It needed doing this time last year but kept forgetting as it was put away in the cupboard :rotfl:
Dusted all through, top to bottom.

Magical Monday - Barnacled Bathroom and Sociable Study/Pc Area

Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
    Extra task list

Wash a set of curtains, nets, duvet or throw
Pull out the beds, furniture and clean all behind them.. the skirtings and light fittings and everything.. get rid of all the things that are no longer required!

    Hello ladies

Glad to hear your mum got her op Dusty but sad to read your news Iona. Hope the antibiotics help your little one Pigpen. Good luck at parents evening tonight Bossy.

OK, I promise to get the kids' rooms sorted today. Just got up for a shower and a cuppa and the kitchen is still clear - hurray! :j Got the health visitor coming this morning, so that's one area I don't need to fuss over.

Hope today is good for everyone x
  • Morning everyone

Didnt sleep very well for some reason so up early. Ebay parcels ready to send, online banking checked. Might have time to strip DSs bed and get the WM going before I go to work.

Oh and yesterday I forgot to put any eye make up on!!! DS distracted me half way through getting ready. No-one at work commented on the fact that I looked a bit rough. Still it could have been worse, I could have just done one eye or something.

    Right, better shift myself.

Dd3 popped round last night to pick some more of her stuff she's eblaying, so another boxful out.

Thought I Saw the Vulcan doing its fly by yesterday while we were in the playground, wasn't sure it was that so we didn't point it out to the kids which on hindsight was mean:o I said to a few near me oh look at that big plane,
Edit spoke to someone today it wasn't the Vulcan it was a Cargo plane.

Better get the wu done so I can make a move, I've had an S&S round so it's looking reasonably tidy.

I appear to have spent most of the morning yelling so far...

cat at vet at 9:50.. boiler service 10-12 ..

Carpet smell of damp dog.. I am tempted to clean it every day until the water stops looking like slurry!! Are those cleaners you hire .. rug doctor is it?? are they better than the housey ones???

OH is being set tasks of clearing unit/space for boiler and redoing the curtain pole in the girls room.. then he can get those hideous terracotta tiles gone from the back room fireplace.. I hate them, they need to disappear!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Dusty - Glad your mums op finally went ahead. Speedy recovery vibes being sent!

ionafan - Sorry for your loss *hug*

pigpen - Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

Yesterday didn't go to plan. After doing 2 trips to the charity shop I made a 3rd to find they had shut an hour early! So a 40min round trip wasted. I knew having lunch in between trips was a bad idea but my tummy was growling! :o I need to go again today as a result, 2 trips with boxes and then I have 2 suitcases filled with rags if they'll take them (they are bagged and labelled as rags ;)). Yes I have had a big clear out of clothing and stuff which is worn out but this is over a years worth :o:rotfl: Hopefully on the last trip (when I plan to take the suitcases) I'll be able to carry on and go to town on an errand or 4. However I'm not moving in that direction until gone 10am as I have a few things to do around here first.

I went to Mr A last night to buy more jeans as 3 pairs are no longer wearable (The joys of buying clothing in fits and bursts, they all wear out together!). I could only find 1 pair in my "fat" size, so got those, brought them home to discover they're too big but the next size down is too tight and my muffin top looks more like the magic porridge pot. :o

The house in general is looking okay, but I need to run round downstairs with henry as the dog is moulting again. He can be brushed first while a wash load does its thing. I need to adjust the heating temperature settings as well as its rather warm in here today.

If its gone its done or doesn't apply.

    Personal (week):
    Laundry (cloths, quilt, blanket, dog)
Ironing - DD did the uniform stuff so its all the rest that needs doing now!
Jigsaws (4 down 1 to go)
    Accounts
    Mr A delivery
Dailies: Beds, dishes, laundry load, S&S kitchen, S&S bathroom, dog walk
    Sewing repairs: Monkey, doll
    HGP jobs
    Clean front of the house
Sort dehumidifiers for bathroom and DD bedroom
    Shredding
Stuff to charity shop (See photo for opening times) - half way there
Nag DD over arrangements going away - time to start this tonight now her grandparents are back from holiday. She's going to see a "cousins" production of Les Mis which is why I'm going to nag ;)
Plan bake sale stuff (twinks, chocolate cakes, cupcakes) including packaging (used foil trays last time and they never came home despite me asking for them back! so I want stuff I don't mind disappearing.
