Huge (((hugs))) Ionafan. Thank goodness you and he had the chance to get to know each other properly even if it was late in life.

Speedy *healing vibes* for your mother, Dusty.

*Calming teatime vibes* for your entire house, Dancemum. Fingers crossed for everyone involved.

Some freezer space was cleared last night and I have a mountain of semi-braised beetroot to peel, chop into quarters or even eighths some are so big, toss in oil and open freeze. The neighbour who is equally into preserving has taken a dozen or so and been warned there are threats of more this Saturday. We are going to be eating some very odd meals while I make inroads into the larger lumps of food in the freezer if this continues for very long, as I rather think it will.

Emergency flying is happening to stay on top of the grot, but I'll have to do some work on the lowest level before the weekend because both rooms are let from next week, one of them for a couple of months. I want it all sparkly by the time they arrive.
    Better is good enough.

ionafan I am sorry to hear of your loss. Hugs and prayers for you and your family.

I was full of good intentions yesterday but managed to fall and fracture some ribs.

It wasn't flying related. The plumber arrived to look at our boiler. He just walked in and the dog bolted for the door. I tried to catch him and basically through myself on the floor. He came in too find me flat on the floor.:rotfl:

Doctor says the other pain is a trapped nerve. She gave me some pain killers and said I would struggle to sleep. She was correct :D

Today I will make some phone calls and maybe do some gentle dusting.

Our cockerel had an injury to it's leg in August. It has had three courses of antibiotic, three tins of savlon spray, visits to the vet's. Now on another course of antibiotic, all for same leg. It has cost £95 so far!!!!!!! And Mr P is now saying it might have to go :( Daft, I know, but paying it gets better soon.

Dusty I am glad your mum seems to be okay.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Looks like a post that I thought I had added earlier has gone AWOL

Many thanks for all kind thoughts and hugs.

Glad your mum is making good progress, Dusty - sending healing vibes.
GWS to pigpen's DS3, hope the ABs have kicked in.
Ouch, poohbear! Hope you manage to get some sleep as the painkillers take effect, the ribs begin to heal and the nerve becomes untrapped.
Will be thinking of you around teatime, dancemum - hope DS2 can cope with the new befriender and they have a good time together.
Honey Bear, have you got a good recipe for borscht/barszcz? When we were in Poland we had umpteen different versions, all delicious.

I have managed a bit of flying and reading this morning and have been out for 1.5 hours to a primary school.

The rest of my day is looking like this:
    - hang out WMx1 (the first load went in the TD)
    - lunch
    - reading for an hour or so
    - paperwork to be done
    - emails to be sent
    - phonecall to make to my artist friend in Germany
    - tea
    - course this evening
    - perhaps a bit of TV when I get in - but too many good choices available on one night!

    Catch up again later x

Dusty I'm glad to read that your Mum's op went ahead. Swift back to normal vibes being sent.

Ionafan Sorry to read of your half-brothers passing. It's good you became closer in later life x

Poohbear That's very painful! Please rest up and relax as much as you can.

I've walked the dog, taken DD2 to school, put on 3 loads of washing. Tidied DD2's room. Been to school assembly. All downstairs and the 1st set of stairs have been dysoned. I've had another sort out of DD2's wardrobe and have claimed more outgrown bits for the NNS on Saturday. The DW has been emptied, refilled and set off again.

The hospital have changed my FIL's biopsy appointment. I had just rearranged my Tuesday so now I've got to rejig it again.

DS3 is much better. It just lasted an afternoon and evening. I hope it doesn't become a regular occurrence.

    Haha embrace away piggers lol

I've been booted out of the network and struggling to get back on with my ageing laptop lol. So I've just put some snacks together for while we wait for our parents eve appointments. The kiddies are coming with me so I might shove a book or two in as well.

    Fairly peaceful day considering...

    Glad work almost finished...

I keep reading 'do you need your winter duvet yet on the copied lists and it's making me smile - I am a cold-ish person so I swapped over weeks ago!
