Is an Ipad Air 2 really worth 3 times as much as a Hudl 2?

Well, glancing over the specs for the ipad mini2, it seems it doesn't have a Micro SD card slot, and I can't find any mention of HDMI out.
It's also got a 1.2 GHz processor (Hudl 2 has a 1.8 GHz processor) and 1 GB of RAM (Hudl has 2 GB), so I'm struggling to see what the big attraction is, for a tablet that costs over twice as much :huh:0 -

Being in technology company and looking after marketing for last 10 years, I am 100% sure that when you buy a big brand you end up paying more for the name than technology. I have 2 kids and one of them is starting high school, so I was looking for a tablet for him. I bought spidotech sleek for just £35, and it's working well and does what he wanted to do on everyday basis.0

Which is why you bought the Hudl. Not everybody is so obsessive over specs and wanting value for money. As I've already mentioned some will pay a premium for the name and possibly functionality of Apple especially if they've already splashed out on an iPhone.Bedsit_Bob wrote: »I'm struggling to see what the big attraction is, for a tablet that costs over twice as much :huh:0 -

No offence intended, to anyone who is autistic, or has relatives/friends who are, but that sounds like rather a niche market.0 -

To be fair (no Apple fan)
Apples hardware will be more optimized by the software and as such hardware specs alone dont give a true reflection of performance in comparison.0 -
We have both an iPad (2nd gen I think) and and a recently bought Hudl 2 - 8.3". I love my iPad and use it all the time for just about everything. However, the Hudl 2 is very impressive indeed and it's under £100. Touch screen is very responsive and is bright and clear. Good range of apps etc etc.0

I did say that it was an obscure reason ...Bedsit_Bob wrote: »No offence intended, to anyone who is autistic, or has relatives/friends who are, but that sounds like rather a niche market.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
