They wanted proof of ID for my application just now. I can go in tomorrow, but yeah, I think I'll miss the deadline..
Did they give you an account number and sort code?
I am in the same boat but took my ID in on Friday (three days before the deadline), even if you take yours in on desdline day, the deadline is 5pm so fingers crossed even if we need complain we should get it eventually.
If we have passed the credit check and provided ID before the deadline not giving it to us because the branches are slow to forward the docs on would be harsh.0 -
Yes, I got the sort code etc.0

Got the email that mine is now open today, paid a few quid into it just so today is listed as a transaction date just incase, although I cant get into internet banking without a code they will be posting me to see its arrived in the account.
Ive set up two Tesco DDs with M&S now before the switch as I think that makes more sense than after (the T&Cs wording is so vague).
Just out of interest has anybody got the incentive either from this or the previous offers with just 2 or 3 Tesco DDs? As somebody in another thread said theirs wasnt paid because the DDs were from the same company, although again this is not mentioned in the T&Cs (just says 2 active DDs) so I cant see that it should be a problem.0 -

I was as well 'worried' about this, so I called them up to check with their CS.
And the lady I talked with, confirmed to me that you only needed to complete the online application and receive a account number and sort code. So you both should be fine, as well.0 -

Thats good, i dont suppose they cleared up the direct debit before or after the switch vagueness?
Its so vague that I saw two articles about the £125, the thisismoney one said you need to switch with the DDs in place and the Telegraph one implied you needed to 'set them up'.0 -
This is from their own PDF T&Cs...
Eligibility
3. To qualify for the offer you must:
a. Open a new Classic Plus Account by 2 November 2015 and switch to TSB using the Current
Account Switch Service by 23 November 2015.
b. Transfer all active credits and debits from your old account and close it.
c. Pay at least £500 to your new TSB account within 28 days of the switch completing and
register a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits.
So I think you can just register 2 DDs after the account is open, thats what Im doing now.0 -
Does anyone know when text updates are sent during the process. Is it confirmation, during or completion of the switch.
No email address was taken in the switch form, so just curious about confirmation etc.0 -
I got one text to say I had been accepted.0

What online security measures are in place for first online transactions to new payees? Do you get sent a card reader or is there some other method?0
