They give you a code online, and then immediately call you on your registered landline or mobile number to ask you for the code.

Yeah they use the whole "enter the on-screen code into the phone when we call you" thing like the other banks that use the same online system (e.g. Halifax, BoS, Lloyds). Not sure if I prefer it to the "enter a code we just texted you" method...both have pros and cons.

I have got an answer on this! I phoned TSB and they said that it can be either the account being switched from or the TSB account you are switching to, as long as the account was opened before 2 November and switch and 2 DDs are set up by 23 November.

I didn't bother switching. I'll finish opening the TSB account later and just switch the old account to Halifax for their incentive.

How long does the £125 bonus take to come through? My wife opened hers 28th Oct and met the T&Cs but no bonus yet. There is no secure message facility on the TSB website, apparently she needs to phone up. That's poor compared to Nationwide who have a far better website including secure messaging.

I've switched myself to this account - I remember reading in the T&Cs that the £125 is paid 28 days after the switch completes (providing all terms met).

Not sure what you are on today :cool: but the Clydesdale switch offer is still open-until 30\11 -as advertised.
