    Hello Everyone:hello:

Wet, windy & a tad chilly today! so have done ironing this morning. Weather should be better by friday so will take kids to legoland again for their last trip before school starts! Might take kids to library this afternoon.

Went to lakeside yesterday, kids did some free crafting, had a walk along the new boardwalk supposed to be boats there but I couldnt see any? went in the disney store, they have some lovely things!
Then kids wanted to go to ikea again for a play in their creche (again), so I had my free cuppa (courtesy of the ikea family card).

Glad to see you back catznine! - yes Im hoping that joining the gym will actually do me good - I just have to make sure I actually go now!:rotfl:
I plan to go to wales next year on my family history trail!

dogrose - well done on the win - I love majorca its a lovely island!

frogga - Oh thats a shame that happened because the duck tours is fab! it is very surreal when it drives into the water! glad yr all ok though!

penpenguin - a red rinse!! I shall have to call you Red Hen now!!:D

juliapenguin - its hard when you get those "down" times and its hard to keep busy especially as usually youre not interested in doing anything!

Have a good day all xx

alibob30 ~ i asked for a tummy tuck they laughed but said not sorry we can't. how rude, lol.

my first c-sec was because i was fully dilated and pushing but lost loads of blood and gunky stuff and i was in agony and they did a scan and saw my daugther was breech and she was getting intoa panci. so they did an emergancy one. and second time , because once you've had a c-sec they can't induce you. i had to have one as my son went over due and wouldn't budge. Men ! . lol.

I had a c-section with my 1st and was then enduced with my 2nd and had a straightforward delivery......it's amazing how these things vairy from hospital to hospital isn't it.

Shez - We're supposed to be going to Legoland on Friday - as long as my knee feels better - I shall wave (not sure what you look like but if I wave at enough people I'm sure to get you) We were at Lakeside at the weekend but my DD's begged not to go to Ikea - now they're too old for the creche they hate it.

The weather here is vile today - blowing a gale and lots of heavy yucky rain - got all the lights on (lucky I switched to energy saving bulbs eh!) I'm going to get DH to get the winter duvets back out - we've only had the summer ones on for about 3 weeks, I've had to resort to a sweatshirt and socks today too.

I've got dinner bubbling away in the SC and I'm off to sit with my sewing and a dvd for a while - both DD's are talking to friends on MSN so for once they're not bickering. :D:D

My fertility treatment has ended now, not quite sure how I feel about it - bit hacked off that it hasn't worked but also so relieved to be off the hormones which have been a nightmare. There's noting else they can offer without going private as I've had children, it doesn't seem to matter that DH hasn't got any of his own as far as the NHS are concerned - I know they have to draw the line somewhere but everyones circumstances are different

Anyway - rant over - time for tea and maybe a bit of choccie

    Have a great afternoon all.

  • Hello everyone - just had a few minutes to pop on the computer - didn't get on at all yesterday as DD1 was on it for most of the day resulting in major row and much shouting and door slamming. Things today are still iffy - she is supposed to be repeating year 12 because she did no work last school year but she has been working in Boots and has got used to the extra money and the appeal of school has lessened even more. She is very volatile and I find it difficult to have a reasonable discussion with her ATM... She is now refusing to go on holiday to France with DD2 and ex OH (her DAD) on Monday. I am going away on a short cruise with a friend at the weekend and don't want her on her own in the house (my space parties and other horrors spring to readily to mind) so in a bit of a dilemma.

Hope you are all having a good day - (((hugs))) to those who are feeling down.

    Afternoon all,

Have been up since before 8, which is early for me these days, have made bread, emptied and refiiled DW and its just finished a second time, put on a second wash, made a huge pot of 'debris' soup...love that term got it here, just about to blitz and have with the fresh bread...feeling so virtuous...oversaw OH's division of my square foot garden boxes, so am going to sow them in a while...despite OH's messing up of a bit of one box, have 29 squares to play with, as these ones are near the house and deck I might give a few squares to flowers.

DD4 gone back to work to-day, she forgot to put her watch back after Germany and went off to work in a panic at 7.30 thinking that it was 8.30 so got an even earlier bus than usual!

Lovely here to-day, DGS2 is supervising OH at whatever he is doing outside, so I don't have to do it until I have lunch ready. Having a barbeque this evening, DD3 might visit which will be nice. Just having burgers, sausages, maybe some fish with salad and steamed potatoes...only way to cook the beautiful British Queens we have at the moment...unfortunately I need lots of butter with them as well, which is not good for the waistline...the one I am trying to find again I mean, lost it sometime in 1972 so could be anywhere!

JuliaP and Tooties...sorry to hear that neither of you is feeling better, Csarina's advice very good... if you can get outside for half an hour it might help, even if its raining, unfortunately that's the current climate, so coat and wellies if necessary...helps me when I'm down..which I have been a lot over the last year, getting out to sit in the air was my only activity last August.
    Special hugs to you both.

JackieO...glad to see that your recuperation is going so well, weather is no help really...enjoy your holiday and take it easy.

Frogga....Delighted to hear that you have had a full refund on duck tour (?) we have them here in Dublin and they call them Scandinavian tours or something...have never been on one (yet). I'm sure that it was frightening at the time, but I have to admit that my nasty streak found your story funny...sorry.

Csarina.....I know that you are a wise and capable lady but do you think that it would be wise to see your doctor? I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to live without a garden when you have had one before...maybe making yourself a little 'haven' on the allotment just big enough for two chairs, not looking at the the work to be done...maybe pot up a pretty flower to look at? You know you best but don't let yourself get into winter feeling down.

Spendaholic...have decided that my oven (old) takes too long to heat up when I am just using it for one tray of food...top smaller oven died some time ago, so today I put a cast iron pan ( I love these, not fancy ones, they are grey when you buy them and turn black with use, they are very cheap) on my hob at low heat, I have a saucepan lid that fits it so when both were heated I put my rolls on to cook, about 10 mins on either side seems to work well...reminds me of the castiron 'pot oven' my mother used over an open fire when I was a small child before rural electrification in Ireland. Congratulations on cross stitch, I am too impatient to do something like that, or do you get faster as you become more used to it?

Anniebooklover....glad to hear that you had such a nice break.

    Anniestar and Queenie...hugs

Sorry to anyone I missed, hugs if needed
