    Morning.

I had a terrible night sleep. my hubby has just come into a little bit of money and we decided we were gonna do up house top to bottom. then foudn out i was preg so thought ok were spend half on a car like a vectra or something as they have 3 proper seats in the back. saw one we liked and said ok were buy the car and then with left over money were just do kitchen , lounge , hallway and a new floor in our bedroom.

anyway went to look at vectra and it was awful. but sawa renault megane scenic. it was lovely. was taken by it. perfect for our growing family. so bought it. really really chuffed. BUT it was double our budget. so we now have nothing left to do house.. ok i'm chuffed with car. but i feel in a bit of a panic about house. as i've spent last few week planning everything in the house. hope i don't sound weird but it an odd feeling. hubby has even taken a week off work to decorate house and now no decorating to do. so might just have a huge blitz in house.

anyway enough of me moaning. breakie i bought some crumpets last night as a treat me breakfast. yummy

lunch ~ mash and chicken. my daughter is staying at her nans tonight so thought i'd give them dinner at lunch time as her nan has dinner alot laster than we do.

Dinner ~ chilli and wrap's. with toritilla chips. yummy. my daughter not keen on this but son loves it. or poss chicken curry as the same thing.

got 1 load of washng to do . need to see if clothes on airer are dry enough to iron dry. need to have a general tidy up.

write and meal plan for nest week as pay day tomoz and want to be very organised .
  • Morning Guys!

Slept better last night which is great:D

WM will be going on in a minute, but is horrible here ATM. The loo has been scrubbed though. House is pretty tidy and cleaner here tomorrow.

We have been doing some de-cluttering and OH has got rid of about 200 dvds which were downloads:rolleyes: ...most were given him, but TBH, we have so many films on proper:D DVDs that theres no need and just take up room. Ive been buying DVDs with the voucher codes etc and picking them up for about £2-£3 each. I have been very ruthless and charity shoped a load.

DD really needs shoes, so am unsure where we will get them from as Im still on strict bedrest and OH is useless with the shoes and she will end up with some tarty unpractical ones:eek:

Havent even started to pack yet, but am taking minimal stuff as there is a WM there and with the electricity costs being included...why not:confused: I must remember to call the owner later. Its at Taunton..if anyone knows of any good places to visit?

Have been invited to a Poker game on Saturday night, but not going to be here...shame as we love poker. Also, there is a leaving party for friends who are moving abroad the 2nd Saturday in September, then a wedding on the last Saturday...the one at the Zoo:D

Anyway, Im going to say goodbye for now as I need a cuppa and a biscuit. Talking of biscuits...the cakes OH & DD bought back from Harrods were devine. I took pictures, so will try and show them later. DD also got a Harrods loyalty card, but this doesnt kick in really till she has spent 5k:eek:

    Hugs to all.

    Morning All

Dogrose - congrats on that win, I love Majorca.

DLB - we have got a couple of weeks before football - I dont mind so much myself but feel sorry for DD, either she comes and isnt happy or left at home & when we get home the day is more or less gone.

Is dark and very windy here today, really need to pop into another village this morning so think will jump in the shower in a min so can leave the kids with oh and go at 9am. Havnt been out on my own for ages it feels.

Today we are off to Wembley to watch England play Germany - looking forward to it but not the travel home - 90,000 leaving the Stadium at the same time! Should be interesting. Will be late home but no time for a lie in on Thursday, really need to get the house up straight and shopping done for the party on Saturday - why do I do this things.

Off for a little surf while I finish my tea - have a good day.

PP - £5k before loyalty points - wow. When we go we usually just buy something from the food hall - their fudge is devine - we buy a few bits - in seperate bags of course.

Morning all you early birds and all who follow...:hello:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY / ANNIVERSARY if you are celebrating.
welcome to any newbies that pop in.
The sun is shining here (forgotten what the sun looked like till today:rolleyes: )
Going to ring the dentist later and see if they will take new patients. Since i came to live with OH i have been avoiding the dentist ( 7 years of avoiding, if im honest!) so think its about time i bit the bullet and went.:o
went and got my haircut yesterday,it was getting to be a nightmare taking ages to wash and dry it everyday, now it will take a few mins.
The chinese girl that cut it went a tad OTT when she came to doing my fringe and now i look like im about 12 years old:rotfl:
one bonus is at least i cant see it ;)
My Mum will be impressed she used to ALWAYS cut my hair and fringe (fringe really short). i banned her from doing when i was in high school, after a particularily viscious assault on my fringe one day leaving me looking like the little "crankee" . i have had a phobia ever since.

right im off to put kettle on ,
as Arnie would say..... "i'll be back!"

    Morning all,

You would not believe the day we had in London Yesterday!

The plan was to drive up with my Mum and my Tadpoles and park at my Nans. Then we caught the tube into the centre of town with my Auntie and cousin.

We had booked a "duck Tour" , which for those of you who dont know is a sightseeing tour with a difference! ~ you do about 45 mins on the road going past all the historical landmarks et.c and then the "bus" goes off road and into the Thames and turns into a BOAT!!!

They use vehicles that were part of the D Day landings. It was Fantastic. Going round London , the kids were loving it, splash into the water , along the Thames , Brilliant , then just as we were coming out of the water and up back on to dry land..................................................NIGHTMARE ON THE THAMES ............it got stuck!!!

The driver couldn't get us out of the water, we were stuck! My heart was in my mouth as he reversed into the water and tried again , but the boat kept missing the runway and we tipped right up. People were screaming, kids were crying,we had to put life jackets on! It was really frightening!

Both my tadpoles were quite calm , but obviously very scared. The boat driver was looking very worried and that didn't help. Another "duck" came down the runway and tried to barge us back into the water but it just tipped us over even more. There were important looking people on the riverbank looking worried and then they called the fire brigade!!!!!!!! We had to climb out of the window, and into another boat. What an adventure!

The sad thing about it all is , I was really enjoying it up to that point!! Also , because we were stuck for so long it was then time to go home and we hadn't heard the end of the tour!! Still it's one the kids wont forget. My Nan had paid for us all to go and it cost nearly £100. My auntie is phoning today to see if she can gat a refund.

You see what I mean now by why is nothing in my life ever straight forward?!

Going to spend the day DOING NOTHING and just being a chilled out frog :rotfl:

Have a good day all xx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Good morning!

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes yesterday it really cheered me up. I had a quiet day with my dd as I am recovering from a trip away with friends. We had a takeaway Thai meal and watched one of her dvds.

I have been very lucky and been away twice in the last month, one week to visit my sister in Wales which I always enjoy as her charity shops are so much better than ours and the boot sales are better too! So I stocked up on lots of bargains including fabric and wool to keep me busy during the winter months. Then last week we went away with our friends (best man from 31 years ago and his wife) to his brothers place in Murcia, Spain which was lovely and only £50 each plus ryanair fare :money: :j What a shock though when we got back off the plane on Sunday and went from 36 degrees back in Spain to find autumn had arrived! Brrr!

I don't have long to get over all that though as on Friday a bouncing bundle of joy will be turning up! Yep we are getting our puppy (cat will hate us  but she has been there before when we had our last dog) We are all so excited about this and almost all my birthday pennies have been spent on kitting her out with a new pretty bed and toys etc., she and I will be great company for each other and she will get me walking again, not marathons as she is only little but a couple of little walks a day and building up to longer ones.

Catching up with the news i see that JackieO is back and the op went ok:j I am so pleased and can see that you are one incredible lady Jackie an inspiration for us all.

Amie - one day I would love to see the Eden project! We often visit Cornwall as it is one of our favourite places. I am very envious of Catowen and N9eav living in such a beautiful place.

Kyle - not long til Orlando! have you planned your trip yet? Hope lorenzo is doing well and recovering ready for taking on disney and all its delights.

Snowy - thank you for your pm, don't worry I am still around but sometimes only get time to skim through the threads.

Shez - good luck with the gym, i used to find that joining a gym was the only way to get any "me" time!

Anyway ((((hugs))) to those that could use one and congrats to those with birthdays and anniversaries.

    Catz x

Ellie2912- my sister told me that our mum used to stick our fringe down with scellotape (can never spell that word) and then cut it - I cant remember at all think it must have been one of those things you block out as its so traumatic...lol. Even nowdays I only allow the hairdresser to cut the tiniest amount off.
  • Hello everyone

I haven't posted for a few days as the demon depression has hit again - I've been really bad recently and when I'm like that I can't connect with people. I'm not on medication as I've tried everything over the last ten years and nothing helps enough to outweigh the side effects.

I'm giving myself two weeks to do all the self-help stuff I can think of and then it'll be off to the GP to get referred back to the 'hard to treat depression clinic' at Manchester University.

Sorry to be so boring and moaning about how bad I feel - it just helps to know that someone knows, IYSWIM.

Have a good day, everyone - I'm keeping mega busy and hoping for the phone to ring with news about an operation I've been waiting for and a place at Salford University!

Frogga - What a nightmare, started reading your post and was thinking how i'd really like to do a duck tour but changed my mind towards the end! You were all very brave, hope that you get your refund. My DH has yesterdays Evening Standard downstairs, i'll have to check and see if you made the papers!

Jcr16 - Thanks for the reassurance, I had a section with my first as she was transverse and big 10.3 lb's at 10 days early. I think that this one is big too and I also think its in a strange position. My only worry is that I had to have a general with the op as the spinal wouldn't work, I just hope that they can get it to work this time. Congratulations on number 3!! I'm never ever doing this again! Do you think that they might agree to a tummy tuck whilst i'm in theatre?
