Morning everyone - sorry you're feeling down Juliapenguin. Wow Frogga - what an adventure!
Last day at w*rk this week and I have booked some union facility time for some meetings, a disciplinary and some other stuff so it will be a bit of a wind-down day. Hope to finish around 3.30 and come back to pack for Reading tomorrow - yay!

Exoh didn't ocme round last night which just added grist to dd's mill about him wanting to spend more time with new gf than her.

My bank account is showing me as having £1500 more available to me than it should. Nothing has gone in and I'm not expecting anything like that -I would know turst me - so I'm guessing they have increased my overdraft facility. I will phone them and ask them to put it back to where it was .... tempting - but no!

blimey - am late for w*rk again! byeee

curses - just came back to say bloomin' bike has a bloomin' puncture - why does this only happen when i don't have time to fix it
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

alibob30 ~ i asked for a tummy tuck they laughed but said not sorry we can't. how rude, lol.

my first c-sec was because i was fully dilated and pushing but lost loads of blood and gunky stuff and i was in agony and they did a scan and saw my daugther was breech and she was getting intoa panci. so they did an emergancy one. and second time , because once you've had a c-sec they can't induce you. i had to have one as my son went over due and wouldn't budge. Men ! . lol.
  • Morning everyone

DD came home last night :j She had a fantastic time in Ireland, got spoiled silly but she is glad to be home (she told me she missed me every day :A ).

DD's just tucking into some HM bread, toasted and a cup of tea. Plans for today include washing all of DD's suitcase, making some bread rolls and HM burgers for tea tonight, and also another batch of chocolate brownies. If we get time we might pop out and get some icecream to go with the brownies ;)

Frogga - what a nightmare

Well better get to it - have a great day everyone :T
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Hi
I had a c-section with my first as I had placenta previa & was induced with the next 3, it seems some hospitals do it & some don't

  • Hi everyone-- Actually slept all through last night Thank goodness:j

Firstly thank you all so much for all our anniversary wishes yesterday. Mr Scubaleopard teases me about being on MSE with my mates and I had never showed him the Os Daily thread but yesterday when everyone was so kind congratulating us I showed him and he was really touched.

Well we had a wonderful meal at friends. I have had the Delia Smith Complete Recipe Collection book for years and have never cooked the Baked Italian Fish Dish but I shall be from now on -- it was scrummy and then Creme Brulee with 3 !!! layers of toffe- a bit like bonfire night and toffee apples. Anyway a real treat.

I hope everyone to come has a happy day it is sunny here so maybe the last few days of the school holidays will be lovely.

Alibob-- nearly there. It seems so long doesn't it.

Ellie - My girls tease me about how I used to have their fringes cut -- I think they rate it with neglect. Neither has got a fringe now !! With my rose coloured glasses on all I remeber is pretty girls with rosy cheeks. Oh the blessings of being 50+
I do remember my Mum thinking a quick way to trim my hair was to do it whilst it was in pigtails. I think I had to have over 5 inches off to straighten it up.:rotfl:

Frogga - What an adventure. The children will have something interesting to write in their holiday news when they go back to school. I love the way stories like that become legends and everyone always starts the family story with -- you remeber when.

Julia Penquin-- Just to say I am thinking about you and hope being on here helps you to know there are lts of people sending caring thoughts.:A

Well I am waiting again for a delivery from ebay- trying not to panic that the
seller doesn't exist. We have never had any trouble as yet but you never know!!!

S[ecial wishes to everyone celebrating special days and gentle thoughts to those feeling sad or poorly

    Hello

Very late getting on here today - been over on the Christmas board!!

Very very tired and feeling a bit sick today. Never got to the bank yesterday, so I really must try and get there today.

Remembered not to throw out old deoderant can today - our council recylces these now. :T

Did my extra bit of work last night - more cash for the savings account:money:

I might try and get away a bit early today. Horrible weather here. I want to do some sorting for work - contacts and things like that. I really can't be bothered today. I've done all the work here recently, so someone else can do something for a change

  • Morning All,
Sorry to hear you aren't feling good JuliaP - know just how you feel - We've had a bad year so far this year and I hit the summer hols feeling the need to hibernate hit me - didn't even feel like texting mates!
Alibob - nearly there, I remember the last few weeks as the worst!

Today has dawned bright and breezy - don't know how long it will last but am taking a chance and the WM is on!!
Kids off to gym class again - local school has set up all kinds of great sporting activities for the summer - been a godsend.
I'm off to another hospital appointment with Mum - try to have all of her appts in holiday time and as she has loads wrong (poor thing) this means that it gets very busy ferrying her and the kids to various activities and appts!!! Good job DH is off to help!

  • Morning everyone

At last the sun is shining and I feel like its going to be a good day. Freecycle is on top form again coming through with jam jars & a fabulous 1930's kitchen larder cupbaord thingy. Collecting tonight so lots of extra storage space + I've been looking for one for ages, be great for all those vintage fabrics.

Insomniacs - with you there wide eyed & bushy tailed. I have been plotting mine on a calender & there is a definate increase between ovulation & start of period with the night before being the worst (awake most the night) & most predictable as in always happens....blinking hormones!

Juliapenguin - big hugs those dark times are so hard.:hello:

Everyone else have a great day

    Morning

Sorry to hear you are feeling down Juliapenguin and tootles (((hugs)))

Frogga that sounds like one heck of a day - I really fancy doing one of those duck tours sometime myself - hope you manage to get your money back.

Well its totally tropical in Warrington today:D I honestly thought we were not going to see the sun again so its lovely. Been trawling the house for any washing I can get on the line.

I got the wallpaper for my feature wall in the lounge and it is quite radical for me (I am a chocolate and cream lover in both food and decor) Anyway started the painting last night but its going to have to wait until the sun goes in now i am not missing any of this!!

Going to do N9eavs Alice Springs Chicken tonight as I have some friends coming over at the weekend so I want to do a test run.;) got some corn in the leaves to go with it yum wish it was dinner time now!!

Rattys mum and dad (my neighbours) get back at lunch time today so I will relieved of walking duties (not that they will pick those duties up of course!!) They have had a rotten experience in Barcelona having all their bags stolen but I think they made the most of the rest of the break so hopefully they did get something out of it.

Other plans - Penny Vincenza a glass of wine and a sun tan top up with any luck!!

    Hugs to you all
    Nels xx
