    Hi - I'm Carl Eve, Crime Reporter from the Plymouth Herald - I'm keen to know which road your vehicle was on when it was hit with the ticket. Using info from the Parking Prankster I've been able to track down the person who gave you the ticket and speak to him.
    Needless to say, there will be not need to pay and he won't be issuing any more tickets...
    I'm currently writing this all up as a story for The Herald. All I need is the address - many thanks.

    Hi Carl - fantastic that the local press are getting involved. Could I make a cheeky request ? That you get a series of stories about this and other PPC scams running ? Let's get this scam of private parking well known the local community.

    Oh, and I love the area, spent many a happy holiday at Notter Bridge !

    May I just say that I am terribly impressed with the work done by colleagues on this thread. Less than 24 hours to detect the culprit, get the full details of his online presence and home address, get the police involved (indirectly) and the newspaper on the case as well.

    Puts the official channels to shame when they try to deal with something.

    Really well done.

    @Guys Dad

    The suspect was an easy target - he left too many clues to his on-line presence. Private parking scams are fodder for any newspaper - local or national. It just took one phone call to The Plymouth Herald, who spoke to 'Aidan' and he admitted everything, so no problem writing the story.

    The Police have been informed directly too - I rang them at around 2am today as all the evidence pointed to the fact that 'Aidan' was convicted of sexual offences against minors and that he was working as a delivery driver for Domino's. Aidan admitted to the news reporter that he is the same 'Aidan' convicted of sexual offences.

    National papers are interested in this too.

    Aidan/Aiden was much shaken after his accident:

    Since the accident, he has been a passenger in his mum's car, but felt very anxious, even when sat on the backseat.[booster seat?]
    He added: "It was the scariest experience of my life and has left an underlying issue that I am going to have to get over. [another on its way as we speak]
