    Aren't they making enough £££ ?

Only do Euro draws now, when jackpot rolls over a few times..
breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??

Your family think that watching the National Lottery dross on the tv and checking some numbers on a piece of paper is entertaining? You really need to get out more. I would rather throw £2 down the drain - literally.

This is rather unfair. Everyone has differing ideas on what constitutes entertainment and given we don't know how young his bairns are then you cant make such an assumption.

I remember when I was a bairn and me nanna used to bring home the scratchcards for RNLI or something - only 25p but was great fun getting to scratch them off.

  • Hi,

why not try the 49's, most bookmakers do them.

Two draws a day, lunchtime, teatime, 651/1 for three numbers.

Suppose they have got to try something to offset the continued plummet in lotto sales as tickets sold are down by about 50% since they switched to £2 tickets and continue to set new lows most weeks.
I reckon sales will continue dropping most weeks and just get a bit of a boost as the jackpot continues to roll but camelot will hoping there are higher numbers in every draw.
Far better return for the odds having a bet on the lottery than buying a ticket.
  • Why change something that is not broken!!!

I don't play the lottery personally, if I did however, this change would make me reconsider doing so (thats my ten pence worth :P )

    cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion I will give it a go. On Saturday we will all wander outside and see if we prefer throwing the £2 down the drain to playing the lottery.

The thing is too many people choose birthdays as their numbers. Then moan about how little they won with four numbers.

Tonight, four numbers drawn under 31. Prize of getting 4 tonight -£36.
One draw, all the numbers were over 28. Prize for 4 numbers -£222.

You win more on higher numbers and on lucky dips.

If people add birthday numbers together, they would get better prizes. Two grandsons with birthdays 14th and 31st - 45.

    Stop playing.birthday numbers!!!

I may do the Health lottery instead, but I can't see me carrying on with the Lotto. I like to choose the numbers, I believe it gives me some control, in trying to reduce the odds.

In the past it has made work bearable, imagining what I would do with the money, what house etc. Moreover in the past - a rollover was worth something, nowadays it's less than the initial amount used to be!

Did you know the 50p health lottery is closing later this month?
