It's not the workers fault the childcare costs are so high.
Maybe it's just me, I personally think I'd go a bit nuts if I didn't work.
Work keeps me sane that is true :T:T
Plus the government gets taxes back from my childminder who is self employed , so tax and NI off me and tax and Ni off her , win win if you ask me .
I didnt ask to be single especially at the time my child needed full time care. However childminders especially charge a full day as standard even if the child is in nursery or free pre school . so that fee has to be paid as well. Unless your a single parent to pre schoolers you really wouldnt know what we have to pay and who to. when i was with my ex we could afford this and paid extra for my daughter to attend pre school on other days , as well as having to pay my childminder to keep the position free for her.
Okay my brain is now mushy peas. back to work for me

Apologies not needed
Stop whatever it is you're doing, make a cuppa and put on one of your favourite music tracks...and turn the volume up loud !
...make sure all windows are closed so you don't annoy a neighbour.

So from Sept 2017, they should change entitlement again, so that IS stops at 3 and single parent should go on JSA and look for 24 hours work minimum. There is no justification whatsoever to expect them to remain on IS rather than JSA at this stage.Yes but not until Sept 2017.0 -
have you pursued the father/s for child support?
Yep been there done that. Get minimal.as he's self employed and can fib about his earnings. Csa don't have the time to pursue them. He pays what he wants. So anything we get from him is a bonus.ONE HOUSE , DS+ DD Missymoo Living a day at a time and getting through this mess you have created. One day life will have no choice but to be nice to me :rotfl:0 -

You are working full time, you cannot do more IMHO. It's tough being a working parent as part of a couple let alone on your own. You will just have to adjust but many out there don't see it as fair, especially as they don't penalise those that aren't giving 100% effort.0 -
Err.. that's what I said above - it's worth it if you're in a career but we were discussing those at "the bottom", ie earning about NMW when it pays hardly any more than childcare. The government subsidises income, isn't it better for a person to keep working or to stay at home and their career to be halted. Maybe they will struggle in years time to even get a job at that level and have to start from the bottom again?0 -

That's why I think ita unfair.I work my bloody hardest to keep a roof over my children's heads. They know why I work. I want my kids to be educated and to know mommy did her best for them. I can not sacrifice the precious little time I get with my babies. Ita so valuable and healing for me. I also appreciate the time I have with them and treasure my me time and work time ro stay sane.ONE HOUSE , DS+ DD Missymoo Living a day at a time and getting through this mess you have created. One day life will have no choice but to be nice to me :rotfl:0
