In love for 10 years but never told her

I've gotta say that no matter what happens with fantasy girl, you should end things with your actual girlfriend. If you're still obsessing about some other woman 8 years into this relationship, then you clearly do not love her. Not in the way she deserves.
Also, just from a female perspective, if one of my male mates on FB said they were in love with me, and had loved me for the last 10 years, I would totally be creeped out and would likely delete them from my FB. That is because I do not have feelings like that for anyone on my friends list, so I'd then be wondering if they'd been staring at my pictures for hours and stuff. *creepy*February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I was just about to post a reply myself but then I read this, and I agree with every word! Your poor girlfriend, 8 years in and no idea that you're in love with someone else0 -
Tell her how you feel and you will look like a right plum! You have been friend zoned from the off set and when she finds out you have been stringing along an innocent bird for 8 years  i dont think she or any woman who knows that would have any respect for you.
Its also sly what you have done knowing you dont love your current girlfriend. You have wasted 8 years of her life for nothing! Be a man and let her go so she can be happy with someone who will appreciate her. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Never heard of being "friend-zoned"?!0 -
DO NOT end your current relationship before you tell the "dream girl." If she doesn't feel the same, you'll be without anyone. Better to be with second best than no-one at all!0

I feel for the poor sod who you settled for0 -
Nailed it. Men and women can never just be friends, despite women thinking so. A quick way to prove it is to say to the man, if your female friend asked you for sex, would you say yes or no? We all know the answer.
Wow. How tragic that you can't think beyond sex when dealing with folks of the opposite gender.
Do you really think that all men would agree to have sex with each and every one of their female friends?! You must know some very horny and indiscriminately blokes!
I'm glad the people in my life are so much better than that.0 -
If this woman had ever held feelings for you she could have made them known at any time in the last 10 years. It is most likely that she sees you simply as a good friend. I think it could damage your relationship if you tell her how you feel now. No-one wants to be in the position of being the one someone has feelings for and thoughts about whilst at the same time being with another partner. How could she ever trust you for a start! The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0
