Did you do what BexTech said?

Shut down everything including your router and PC.

Make sure your new VOIP device is connected to the router.

reboot router, reboot PC then wait a bit and turn on the VOIP device.

The reason for this is it should find the IP and set it to the device.

    QUESTION:

When using that device and NOT using the router built into it, do you have to disable it or anything.

Picture would do no harm and we may spot something wrong.

I am not sure if this is what I was getting at:
By default, a DHCP server (on the LAN side) is enabled on the Voice Gateway. If you already have a DHCP server
running on your network, you MUST disable one of the two DHCP servers. If you run more than one DHCP server
on your network, you will experience network errors, such as conflicting IP addresses. To disable DHCP on the
Voice Gateway, see the Router - LAN Setup section in “Chapter 5: Using the Web-based Utility.”

I am going through the manual picking up parts that may be an issue.

    ETHERNET
The ETHERNET port connects to a network device, such as a PC or a switch, with an
    Ethernet network cable.

Is this the connection you are using?
    5. Connect one end of a different Ethernet network cable to the INTERNET port of the Voice Gateway. Connect
the other end to your cable/DSL modem.

I think this may be your issue, worth a try changing it you can always put it back or do a factory reset.
If the Voice Gateway acts as the router for
your network, use the router/NAT mode.
If your network already has a router, use the
    bridge/switch mode.
    To
    Set the Mode
    Command
    (press these
    keys on the
    telephone)
    201

    Press

    0 to select the
    router/NAT mode.
    Press 1 to select the
    bridge/switch mode.

  • Broadbandbuyer are useless! Yesterday got through to someone who just tried to sell me a system where I suspect they get a cut of the calls, today I beg for support and just get told to send it back.

Thanks! Bex or Brit why don't you offer to be support guys for them in exchange for free parts or wage. They literally must be losing a lot of business and would do soo much better if they got rid of their current team.

You could offer to be a live support where they type the questions and you respond?

    You could try entering **** 100 #

This should state whether the DCHP is on or off.

You could also connect the SPA directly to the PC Ethernet port, check under your operating system what IP is assigned.

Though first make a note to what IP address range the router is dishing out.

Then enter that to see if it can connect.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
