    Yes that will work as that is what I have so long as you have Ethernet ports on the router.

    What I am not sure of is the device you have the same (an adaptor) or is it a router/VOIP adaptor.
  • I have ethernet ports on the VOIP router but it is a router as well as VOIP not just an adpator. If this is making sense.. I shall also call broadbandbuyer to confirm

  • Apparently it can be used as both a router or just adpator. I have written it all down and will let you know if it works tonight

    To get the the admin on the VOIP Box
    do I plug from the wireless router ethernet port to the internet or ethernet?
    and
    thus plug from the computer ethernet to the ethernet on the VOIP box

    ? neither seems to work.. .what am I doing wrong ? Yesterday I managed it lol today it has got worse!

    Plug the SPA3102 into the mains and power it up, do not worry about it being connected to the router at this stage.

    Now attached a base unit of a digital phone to the SPA3102 and use the manual to find the codes to enter on the phone to access the SPA3102 and get the IP of that device, make a note of the IP address.

    To access the SPA3102 menu from the phone:

    Dial **** as shown on page 15 of the manual.

    Then dial 110 and it should tell you the IP, write it down.

    The above will make sure the device has booted and the phone connection is OK.

    Post back if you can do that and we will move to next stage.
