Welcome to newbies and returnees  Rach, I add my vote for getting up a little bit earlier and putting the timer on - also try to get everyone in a routine of putting their own dirty crockery etc in the DW (if you have one) or at least beside the sink, and sorting their dirty washing into "lights" and "darks" (or however you prefer it). Keep your meals simple and use a slow cooker if you can, or stick everything in the oven and fly around a bit until it's done. Each strategy may only gain you a few minutes of flying, but they will all add up over the week.
Today I have
- decluttered hospital appt, back in 6 months
- done food shopping and out everything away
- WMx2, TDx2, all hung up for final airing
- HHI (stuff from the past couple of weeks)
- sent 3 important emails
- slept for 3 hours this afternoon because I was so cold and tired
- been to the Old Wives' meeting this evening
- cooked lunch and evening meal
No reading or tidying done  Will do a bit of tidying in my study now, before bedtime.0 -
Evening all :hello:
CY - glad you feeling up to using public transport and was the link what you were looking for ?

Wash a window
Put the kettle on and take a breather

Evening people,
I have only just stopped about fifteen minutes ago. That is truly ridiculous. Was home from work at six, made tea, helped kids with homework, put them to bed, late dog walk, nursed OH who has a high temp, man flu I think, then did a few necessary bits:
[STRIKE]Dw
- Worktops
- Make beds[/STRIKE]
- Hhi
- Kitchen floor
-[STRIKE] Swish and swipe
- Clear the three most annoying surfaces
- Wipe those three surfaces
- wm
- Empty a bin[/STRIKE]
- Plant those new plants
- Drop bags off at charity shop
- Sort out passports
- Cancel direct debit
- [STRIKE]Check birthdays or events for the month[/STRIKE]
- Clean outside of front door
- Tidy handbag
Rach Pach I sympathise, and I only work part time. There just aren't enough hours in the day. I have an absolute bare minimum I need to do every day, which I try to do in the morning as we're all getting ready - dishwasher and washing machine on, wipe down kitchen and dining table, swish bathroom. Anything else after that is a bonus
Bossy, I can't believe a TA has really said that to a six year old, it is terrible. They shouldn't even be getting homework. Grrrrrrr.
Piggers you will be fab at the craft fair.
CY glad it went ok today, I thought I was the only other person in the world who actually likes only connect!0 -

You would think, when I breeze into work at lunchtime, having had a coffee and an extra hour in bed admiring the bleak, rainy sky, they would be pleased to see my cheery fizzog, wouldn't you?
FYI - apparently not...

Morning everyone
Dizzy you should have given me a shout. I slept in - but I get up earlier than I need to so its not too bad.
Bossy completely ridiculous. As you say words need to be had with the teacher.
Pigpen you need to get driving that car then you can be off all over the place doing these craft fairs, having some lovely time for yourself and making lots of money.
Right, off to make sure everthing is reasonably tidy and get ready for work. Rainy and dark out there this morning.0 -
Morning all.
Hope Master Moo enjoys his trip today. TAs should not act like that one did!
Piggers, craft fairs sound like a good outlet for small items. Whilst looking for something completely different, I've just come across two knitting patterns for fingerless and disappearing-finger mittens which some people might find useful - click on the links at the bottom of this page
Today's list:
- Banking - DONE
- QHSorting more bits in study
- 1 important phonecall before we go out at 9.10
- SW
- Yoga (new class, free trial session)
- DH out after an early lunch (he can get his own)
- Read 2 chapters and make notes
- Sort papers for new course
- Plant the hyacinths and wallflowers that I bought yesterday
Then this evening while DH is out at model railway club (which means that I do the washing up on Tuesdays):
- Clearing surfaces - pick your most annoying 3! - kitchen sink, work tops, table. Now give the surfaces a good clean, then only put back what really belongs there. Rehome the rest of the gibble (keep, bin, recycle)
- S&S the downstairs loo
- Empty any bins and give them a S&S too
- Check any birthdays or other events for the month
- Wipe over the cupboard and drawer fronts, and kick boards
- Clean the INside of the fridge
- Clean the hob and oven door
- Sweep and mop the floor
- Put the kettle on and take a breather and r-e-l-a-x.
That should keep me busy today Catch up later! (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x0
