Just popping on to say I probably won't be around much - work awards do on Tuesday so will be busy today and tomorrow prepping and then following up on Wednesday, plus we're off on holiday on Thursday until next Tuesday so might not be about much next week either. However we did thoroughly clean the house this weekend as had a housewarming on Saturday night (thankfully not too messy though!) so will do dailies to stay on top of it before we go away and possibly a more thorough clean when we come back.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Thanks for the list Bossy :DI'm in, sort of.

Dancemum - our house has thin walls as well. We can hear conversations clearly from our attached neighbour, the other side there is an alleyway so we can only hear loud stuff from them. I've had to warn DD that when we get new neighbours we're going to have to be quieter. This house sounded like a nightclub last night with 2 different lots of music on and the dog running up and down the stairs like a lunatic checking both me and DD were okay :rotfl::rotfl:

Paid stuff today, but what I have to do will clear some of the jobs on the list ;) Before I can start that properly though I need to get the remains of the weekends laundry put away either on the dogs shelves, in the bedrooms or in a basket for me to iron later. Its currently taking up the dining table and dresser top :o Of course it would have helped if DD hadn't come home 2 hours later than planned because she couldn't get her bottom out of her pit at her dads so I was later getting washing started.

Binmen have emptied the recycling, delivery man has been with my work order, and workmen have been to sort most of the roadworks infront of my house so hopefully I'll be able to get out there and clean up later this week although they have cleared up quite well. There's just a vans worth of barriers/signs and the acutal paving slabs whichneed to be put down left now. The dog was both fasinated and scared by the huge lorry with a grabber on which was used to shift the muck. I had him watching from my bedroom window as I'm trying to show him that just because someone is wearing high visibility stuff does not mean they're coming to get him. I think we are making slow progress as he didn't bark like crazy this time :D:j Once I've got him used to that, it's onto people with walking sticks.:o

Marvellous Monday! - a bit of everything!
    Level 1

Clearing surfaces - pick your most annoying 3! Pick 3 and lose the gibble! Dining table, dresser, desk area
    Level 2
Now give the surfaces a good clean, then only put back what really belongs there.
Rehome the rest of the gibble (keep, bin, recycle)
    Level 3
Empty any bins and give them a S&S too
    Extras
    • Put a wash on
    • Check any birthdays or other events for the month Must remember to sort twins out ready for DD to take stuff up on the 23rd-ish
    • Clean the outside of the front door - not happening until the roadworks are all gone!
Off to make another coffee and start putting this clean washing away, then I might put a load on as the quilt from the sofa needs washing after the dog has spent the past week sleeping on it

    Welcome new ones x

Well done HB for your litter picking etc. I will pop out later as there is lots of rubbish on the grass near the road. Next doors bin is always over flowing on bin day and it ends up everywhere.

It is a rainy day here.

So far I have done the following

    Henried the ground floor
Washed outside windowsill to remove cat foot art
Washed front door out and in
Emptied and cleaned all kitchen work tops. I'm editing what is allowed back on them.
    Toaster decrumbed and cleaned
    Kettle cleaned and filter replaced
    LR windowsill cleaned inside
    Kids' room dusted
Bathroom S&s and mould behind taps bleached
Wm cleaned out and drawer is soaking as some powder is well and truly stuck.
    Handbag sorted

Any one else decluttering teddies? Have a look at Project Paddington http://projectpaddington.com/

I've chased up a load of paperwork so that's 2 or 3 important things dealt with. DW unloaded, restacked, set off again. Only the bottom tier works. The top arm sprayer is not going round. WM on 3rd load. Last night's late night ironing put away.

Nice chat with DS2 who had a late start today. He's looking for a new job as his current one is too inflexible with his college commitments. I'm nervous about my forthcoming interview terrified at the thought of full time working, this household will fall to pieces if I'm not here. Nobody lifts a finger to help.

Dog has been walked, This afternoon has gymnastics, swimming and parent consultation for DD2 at school.

I'm going to tackle a hotspot now. Which one?

    Hi all!
Thanks for the list again :)

1 load of washing done, another on.
Cleared my surface of doom (the breakfast bar/storer of rubbish!)
    Swished and swiped downstairs loo.

DD is very poorly with a urine infection so I really need to do little and often this week!

  • Hello everyone

Thanks for the list, last week was rather a struggle on all fronts so am in this week although may vary a bit from the list but here in spirit and effort :)

    So far today:
    Kitchen surfaces cleared and cleaned.
    WUDUPA all sorted.
Dys0ned floor in kitchen, utility & hall.
All furniture & toys in play/dining room moved and everything dys0ned & dusted and put back where it should live.
1 wm load done now in dryer as nothing doing outside.
Bathroom to be done after lunch.

Tomorrow will be bedrooms as new beds & mattresses for the boys due to be delivered tomorrow. Their rooms need a thorough clean first so might as well do ours at the same time. Have also got new duvets and pillows for all of us so need to get those aired and ready too.

Living room needs a proper sort out & clean so that will be end of the week.

The hall cupboard does need to be done before it gets any worse (I'm sure it's like the tardis in there, it's hard to believe all the stuff that comes out it!) so will try to do that this week as well.

That will then be pretty much all the big autumn cleaning done (inside anyway the garden is another matter :s ) and can refocus on kondoing as 'stuff' is really getting annoying again.

Good luck with the new challenges, GWS, hugs, sticks, spoons to all who need. Thank you all.

Hi to all newbies and welcome

Some eby buyers are odd, I had an item up, got a bid or 2 on it, auction finished, eby as normal sends invoice to winning bidder to pay.
I get a mail for buyer (not a new buyer to eby) saying, 'Hi, I was bidding on your item, now it has vanished but ebay have sent me an invoice to pay'
I respond with well you won the auction, so now you have to pay, then I will post you the item'
To which I get a response, 'oh ok'
I do worry over some folk..............

    Any way
    Been to job 2
    kitchen is sorted
Bed stripped and remade with winter sheets / thicker duvet, OH is moaning he is cold as I won't turn the heating up!
    WM is on the go
Looked at my bank account...............enough said............
Loads of other small boring stuff done.

Both side tables and side cupboard in sitting room emptied, polished and things thrown/put away/replaced as needed.

Any one up for an HH something ?
