CY enjoy your meal out, hun. x

    Quick question:
I have two worn-out towelling dressing gowns - one that Mr LW replaced a while back and I never threw out, and now mine is developing thin patches and even a hole!
I was thinking of cutting up the non-damaged bits and sewing them into little towels for the local animal rescue - for instance the sleeves are all undamaged and could be cut down the seams and made into towels.
Does this sound like a sensible idea?:o I was thinking they might possibly make bed-liners for the smaller residents.

Must go - boys want a walk, and I want to get them taken before the next downpour.;)

Phew, just back from paid stuff since 10hrs ago... I'm bushed!

Granny discreetly mentioned to Mr Teacher what the TA said, he said he'd have a word but hoped it was a misunderstanding at that she was saying permission slips not homework. DSL was adamant she said homework. Anyway, has been flagged up, reassured it's not the case at all, and no issues had with homework. Haven't picked kiddies up yet but we'll see how his day went.

Kitchen reasonably tidy (thanks MIL :A) so I think I'll just clear up after kiddies have eaten and call it a night.

I need to book an online shop - I'm a dirty stop out again this weekend- need to get some food in for everyone who is staying here to babysit. And I need to plan my beavers sessions for the next 2 weeks - I may need to order some craft supplies!

Right, I'll go get the wee beasties!

LW that sounds like a fab idea

Day not going great, garage quoted over £700 for new exhaust, can't pay that on a 13 year old car, found one on ebay for much less, need to check something and order. Have walked and got car back. Hairdresser cancelled appointment half hour before appointment as not well. Paid stuff was full of issues.

Going to phone fence man, have a cuppa and make cake and soup. plus feed the mogs

CY,glad you got on ok today inc the bus.

LW I think it is a lovely idea, but sounds an awful lot of work for you to do, may be just donating the gowns as they are, may save your hands.

Piggers, love the idea of craft fairs for your knitting.

I have been some where today, and take a couple of photos to load onthis thread, but forthe life of me I cannot work out how to do it, so idiots guide would be welcome, at the moment tey are jpegs (?) and on my memory stick, if that makes any difference.

Bossy, I would be mad if (I had one) my 6 year had been told he couldn't go on a school trip, no matter what the reason without the parent being told first. I would be having more than 'just a word' with the TA..........

Rach, just do a little often, I work 7 days a week generally, so a little often, and OH HAS to help as well, I have been known to go on strike as well, I think it took 10 days for the message to sink in................. :)

    Evening all.

LW - I'd just offer the whole gowns.
    CY enjoy your meal.

Flying here amounted to cleaning the gym yesterday and the hobby room today before the paid stuff. Tomorrow is paid stuff from 7am to 7pm and I need to do some ironing on Thursday.

    Have a great evening everyone.

Ive done a few bits off the list, nothing major needed doing as I did the floor yesterday and the benches get cleared and wiped constantly, did the door fronts though, the oven, the table, the front of fridge, and ill shine my sink after tea.

    Is it bedtime yet?

    Evening ladies

Kitchen all done except the floor. Went to hoover first before mopping and found the cable had been chewed through. It was wrapped up and against the wall, so goodness knows how or when that was done! Oh well, it goes with the chewed attachments that no longer fit on the hose...New hoover then?

I'd sweep, but the broom was chewed several weeks ago and is worse than useless. I really need to get the cubbyhole/pantry sorted and kitted out with storage and shelving so I can tidy everything away. I'd forgotten how bad Ridgebacks are as puppies. Breathe.....

Anyway, in my quest to do the kitchen, I ended up sorting two cupboards in the hallway which has freed up a load of space and got rid of a box that remained unpacked since the move. Tick :)

Laundry room also sorted - getting very excited at the prospect of one more ironing session to clear the basket! Not tonight though as I'm knackered.

Hope the teacher speaks to the TA about what was said. Sounds like the sort of thing my sister would do. She's a wannabe school teacher with an opinion on everything. Sorry if it was her Bossy...

LW - I'd donate the gowns, so they can cut to the size they need themselves. Lovely idea though - I've got two that I could do the same with.

Ooh, the craft fair sounds exciting Pigpen - I love seeing what you've made. How you find the time to do it all escapes me x

Sorry if I've missed any other news - got brain overload ATM

    Hi all

Embb I am with you, I could curl up and sleep.

Kitchen done, except for the floor which needs a wash. DS1 is all over the place at the minute and its quite hard work. He has been offered the chance to do a course one afternoon a week and it would be so good for him but he is quite likely to refuse to go.

I am making rice pudding so better go and check that it is OK.

And breathe ..................... what a day, i am soooo fed up with worki

Flying wise I have s/s the bathroom (while helping DD shower as she has her gall bladder out yesterday so is home for a bit of looking after)
    also cleared the DR table,
Tidied the throws in the LR as they always fall of the sofas
    cooked tea
    washed up
put away laundry/ironing (DH does the ironing and then it lays about for a few days until I can get to it)

    Knackered and thinking about bed!!
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • I hope everyone had a good day, I wasn't very productive today but tomorrow is a new day. X
