YL I don't know if this will help, but I heard a radio programme the other day about how constuctive, helpful and positive 'virtual' relationships are proving to be for those who feel isolated for any reason - geographically, socially or any in any other way. It's a new normal and I for one love it. Good on you for being one of Us, and you can always call on us when things are a bit overwhelming because it happens to all of us sometime.
I agree wholeheartedly! For my own part, as you know I have crippling social phobia, and also mobility issues - if it ain't reachable by mobility buggy, I can't go on my own - so I'm really completely reliant upon virtual friends.:o

YL posivibes, sweetie; it must be a real strain seeing your poor DS suffering and not being able to put it all right for him. And please keep posting to get it off your chest; we might not have solutions, but we can listen and offer moral support. x

Flying sort of under control if people don't mind a bit of dust, a bit of scruffiness around the place and a liberal sprinkling of cat and dog hair over everything ....
That's what I refer to as "clean dirt".:D

Hey it's very quiet on here, everyone must be flying.
Yep - the bathroom's been cleaned to within an inch of it's life; no mean feat when you have a bath-lift that has umpteen crooks and nannies that collect gunk. I poke about with a metal skewer wrapped in a corner of the cleaning cloth to get to the fiddly bits. Once again Mr LW has stepped up to the plate and done loads.:A He even scrubbed the loo because my wrists are a bit iffy today (something to do with ultra-strong Spaniels, methinks) and I didn't think I'd be able to scrub under the rim properly.
He's currently ironing his shirts and chinos for work next week.:A

    CY I hope you're having a good weekend, mate.:o

I have been gardening all day.

Lots of progress made with outstanding tasks in the veg patch and sweeping up conker shells. I'm very tired now but it is a job well done.

Going to wash up now before dinner and ironing. Hardly anything has been done from my list but hey how many more sunny and dry days will we be blessed with.

    Hi all,

I've been away all weekend - back to laundry done and kitchen tidied :A aww kiddies uniform all ready for morning - just need to sort myself for work.

I'm pretty tired, and not properly caught up although I have been checking in now and again.

I'm catching up with striclty as I was watching the rugby yesterday (yaay Rhino's!) then I think I'm ready for an early night!

Also need to write a list of what I need for beavers sessions for the next two weeks :)

  • Thanks all, wow, you are a great bunch. I cant tell you how much it helps. What would I do without you?

I have made a list of all the things that are worrying me at the moment. Most of these worries are about things that might happen in the future rather than things that I am dealing with now. I have to try and make the best of things and stop worrying about stuff that might never happen.

I am going to have a chat with OH about things that need doing in the house, he is tired tonight so not a good time but it would be nice to make a plan.

  • Evening all,

Been away at mum and dads yesterday, and today been mad busy with children's parties and various other non flying things. No fly zone again. Oh dear.
YL hugs, and I hope the list has helped. I agree about making the best of things. Sometimes the stuff that is wrong in your life seems so overwhelming, you lose sight of the good stuff. Next to your list of the worrying things, write another one of the things that are positive, that you love. This may help, it helps me when I'm trying to fend off the BD.

LW liking the idea of clean dirt, my house full of it:)

Evening all. I feel really quite happy tonight. Two things happened this week. The first was at the paid stuff. I queried the value of something which gave me grief keeping to a tight deadline every week. "Not needed at that time" says the boss, so deadline gone and weight lifted off shoulders.

The second is at home today. I've paid a lot of money to have someone come in to do a job which physically and mentally was causing me grief and I was never achieving it anyway. Result is fantastic and worth every penny and I can just relax and not worry about it any more.

See you all on the next thread flyers.

YL hugs. I know how it feels. People see ds2's challenging behaviour and run a mile. I have a couple of good friends but we can't meet when kids are around as they all have different additional needs and ds2 can't cope with them for long.

    Ironing done.
Walk before lunch with a geocatch
    DH kondoed his drawer contents.
