Yay, great news Valli. I hate losing things, its not just the cost of replacing them, its just so unsettling when you cant remember where you put them.

Busy day, again. Paid stuff, food shopping done and put away, messy kitchen sorted, dog walked, pizza made, washing finished off in the tumbler and put away, DS collected, pudding made and kitchen tidied again. Time for G&T and feet up. Will catch up tomorrow.
  • Evening all,

valli hooray re keys. I am still missing a set for my car that have been gone for about a year. I wonder if fly power would be strong enough to find those for me! Oh sold a car on flea bay last year that we hadn't driven for a while. We couldn't find the keys anywhere so had to fork out for a new set. about an hour after the chap had picked up the car, OH was mowing the lawn and mowed over the lost keys!

nicki glad your leg feels better, and CY hope you are feeling OK too.

Nothing done but daily stuff today. I'm struggling at the moment finding time to do any flying in-between work and child related stuff. Not much chance this weekend either. Going to visit mum and dad tomorrow as not seen them for ages, then Sunday we are going to look at a new to us car, then DDs have different birthday parties to go to. Add walking the dog to this and there is no time left!

Might have to sleep -fly xx

Haven't been here for a while, but just wanted to say thank you for the amazing support the flyladies provide. Just knowing there are people out there thinking about you during a difficult time gives you the strength to cope x
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

this is so true...the support, both virtual and practical, I have had since I joined the Flyteam is second-to-none.

    And the friendliness... wow

As Honey Bear said - to me (IRL - woot) it's the women supporting women. What a super, supportive resource.

Many boxes (I'm now thinking TOO many) packed for the table top sale.

    Let's hope some sells...

My 3.30am start is catching up with me.

I grabbed a coffee with a friend after the morning school run.

I had an email to read my gas and electric meters so I did. I decided to go on the Energy club on this site and have just switched saving £732. £300 to come back from my old supplier and £30 cashback. Kerching! That will help with the event on 25 December.

I've s/s kitchen, bathrooms and kids room (DD2 and DS3).

The SU2C evening on channel 4 has pressed my heart and my tear glands. I'm feeling a bit sensitive so I'm going bed to wash the pillow with my eye leakings.

Still here, still catching up when I can on both the thread and (to a much lesser extent) flying. Echo Kaz regarding support.
I'm still juggling/catching up/scheduling silly amounts of work which takes most of my time; in between that I confess to feeling I need to relax with a coffee and the dreaded candy cr**sh to empty my brain.
Mr N goes up to Leicester tomorrow afternoon, meets our NZ friend and they go to a rugby match returning on Sunday eve. So my plan:
    - church flowers tomorrow. I've raided the garden and they are in water , so I am meeting at least 1 (hopefully more) other flower lady tomorrow morning in church to arrange them for harvest festival.
    - serious and relentless writing of reports the rest of the day, interspersed with some flying to break up the day
    - keep doing little bits of mindfulness course. I'm gradually catching up.
    - Sun is harvest festival and lunch. Having promised to provide a pudding, I saw sense in Ald1 today and bought an apple strudel as I just don't have time to make anything, despite being knee deep in apples.
    - have mentally prepared and bought meal to go in slow cooker on Sun am for when the men arrive home
    - more time report writing and flying

Hopefully in a week or so I will actually be able to report I'm under control with work, flying efficiently and doing lots at gym. Let's hope I manage that before Christmas.

And a PS as that was a very selfish post mentioning only me.
Sorry about the job Mumto5, it is disheartening even though you were clearly well thought of. As Dusty says, there are lots of training bits and bobs on line.
CY glad you are doing well
Hugs to all others who put up with my ranting and moaning.

    Evening all :hello:

Valli - soo pleased you have found your keys and not had to pay out for more

Iona - sorry to hear your car is one of the 'affected'

Mumto5 - sorry you didn't get the job. Have you thought about doing some volunteering work in an office to get your skills back up. Maybe worth looking on your local volunteers site ?

Today I did our bedroom and put the warm underlay on instead of the cotton one (just in case) and then clean bedding.

Did three x WM and three x TD, folded and put way.

Bathroom and kitchen all s&s and WUDUPA. I'm finding it starts the day soo much better getting up to a clean and tidy kitchen - when I can be a***d to do it in the evening :rotfl:

DH has a day off the morrow and so we are going out for lunch and a bimble around - beach if nice weather and shops if not. We will go to the nursery for some bulbs for the balcony boxes as well. Lunch out means that we can just have soup and bread for tea so an easy day for me :j

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and (hugs), sticks and spoons as needed
