  • Morning - what a beautiful morning, cold and clear.

I am meeting up with my brother and family later. My brother and I are very close, despite the fact that he lives at the other end of the country and we dont see each other very often. Cant wait to see him.

Other than that it will be pottering about today and catching up on a few jobs that didnt get done during the week.

I switched tariff on my utilities a few weeks ago and go the smart meter fitted my electric bill for September is £30 LESS than it was before.. at £79.. my solar panels are giving me £80 a month.. HIGHLY recommend all options!

I could have found a cheaper tariff with a different unknown provider but I was not prepared to take the risk!

  • Morning all. Had a really good night's sleep and am feeling better.

Quiet day planned here. DS is working at a mate's house, DD2 is at her OH's so it is just DH and I. Third washload is in.

Another lovely day here. We've had a lovely Autumn here, and the longer it goes on the more I feel that every single autumnal day needs to be appreciated. Winter will be here before we know it...

My sister has started a just giving page to raise money for the Oncology ward where I receive my chemotherapy. Given that she and my mum organised a McMillan coffee morning that raised over £400, I am overwhelmed by their support.

Hoping everyone has a good day.

    Hello everyone!

Valli- glad you found your keys.
CY- glad to hear you're feeling quite chipper today
YL- hope you have a lovely day with your brother.

OH had the day off work yesterday so no flying was really achieved.

We went swimming with ds2 and then went for a mooch round town. Two more Christmas presents purchased. I need to do a rally up but think all the children are now bought for (ds1 and 2, two nieces, three nephews, 2 God children, two friends and 4 cousins! I lve doing the kids but now got to think about the adults:eek:

Today has been productive. Ds1 helped me tidy up and Hoover downstairs, we have tidied the living room, done some washing, put up a curtain rail and glossed a window sill!

    Looking at the list now....

Then dewebbing and dusting the fluffy surfaces
    And then vacuum...
Wipe door handles and light switches
    Extras:
    steam clean curtains
Remove the clutter from the stairs!
    Empty the bins

debt free as of feb 2015. Now saving for deposit for new house! Moving in June 2015!!!
  • Hmm

Brother has rung and they have been held up, wont see them until later now. (Thanks Frizzle). Both boys and OH have gone out to watch footie/meet up with friends. That leaves me alone with a pile of ironing and a house that needs cleaning.

It just occurred to me that there is no-one I could ring to invite round or meet up with. How pathetic is that?

Well no point in feeling sorry for myself, might as well get the hoover out and get on with it.

Managed to get a jumper and a sweatshirt for DS3 so that was good, DHs mouthwash which he had ran out of was on offer so stocked up (tried the KM method of not stockpiling toiletries and it really did not work for me, kept running out of stuff and then when I needed to buy it it was not on offer so cost more too).

I have thrown a bag of stuff away from the side shed, had a tidy up out there and bunged the left over spring and lawn feeds I found out there on the lawn, not covered it all but hey I'll get some new stuff in the spring.

Sourdough made, will see if it rises overnight.

Going to feed the mogs and then drop a birthday present to a friend which the jackets cook.

Keep thinking I will make a start on the paperwork but it doesn't seem to be happening!

YL I'm worried about you sweetie, you seem down so much of the time. I know you have a lot on your plate but I feel you have lost your sparkle, can we help in anyway?

CY glad today has been a good one.

Cloudy here, hoping for a spot of rain on my lawn.

been to the table top sale. Not as good footfall as at a car boot but sold a lot, though at bargain basement prices. But it's gone, which was the point.
