Not a bad day and I'm still working and reasonably alert.
    - 2 loads washing done, hung out and retrieved.
    - good bit of flying done by Mr N while I did church flowers and cleaning. Unfortunately some of our team are away, so only 2 of us. But we managed to put an arrangement of some sort on the font, 4 windowsills, the altar, choir stall then hoovered and dusted debris from flowers and church bats.
    - carrot soup made and eaten for lunch.
    - Finally finished hard hard assessment report that's taken forever. Have started on next one which is much more straightforward.
    - booked tickets for the Martian on Tues (local cinema's cheap day on posh seats) after getting text from Mr N and NZ friend who arrived safely to their B&B for the rugby tomorrow.

I'm feeling quite cheerful now that report is done. A bit more writing up, a bit of mindfulness course then bed I think.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Lw- sounds like you and Mr LW have been very busy! Well done! :T

Valli- well done on your decluttering mission and some extra pennies in your pocket!

k, so didn't get much more of the list done but feel like the day has been quite productive.

I have pottered in ds1s room, helped OH put up the bathroom cabinet (which we bought two months ago!) and did some school work. OH was out tonight so thought it was a good time to catch up!

Also dcluttered an hours nap thus afternoon and met up with mum and dad.

Tomorrow I'm going to my mum and dads to watch our local half marathon as it goes past their house and I have lots of people to cheer on, as well as OH who is an official pacer this year. Then I need to do some shopping. Might get a couple of hours in the afternoon,

I have finally gone back to fleabay selling. It took me ages as the postage will be 5.99 and the form wouldn't allow over £3.50.

I plan to stick on over 100 books tomorrow

I'm off to wash up and put kitchen to bed x

Dancemum I send by collect plus as it's cheaper than RM - and eBay take 10% of postage fees too
Other option is to start listing at a postage inclusive price and say p& p is free

    Morning all

Morning routine in hand, cuppa made, mogs fed, laundry removed from maidens.

Going to empty WM and get that on the line and then an hour's paperwork or I'll never get it done, especially if I keep sitting down and playing monopoly with the kids (I don't even like monopoly!) for 2 hours at a time.

DS1 might pop over for a visit today so I'll get the SM out and fix his hoodie to get that out of my house too.

    Have a good day all.

  • Morning everyone

Thanks for the kind words all of you, it means a lot. I am going to get it off my chest so please feel free to skip this bit. I dont know where my life is going, nothing is how I want it to be. I gave up the job I loved when DS became ill and I dont really enjoy the job I do now. I have never been very outgoing but having DS makes it really hard to socialise. DS appears "normal" a lot of the time so people dont understand how difficult it can be.

Then there is the fact that I would like to move house to be less isolated. The house we have now needs work doing on it and we cant afford to do it. OH is good at DIY but hates doing it and the state of the house doesnt bother him anyway.

DS1 is growing up slowly but we are always have to think about his needs and he is always going to need a lot of help. Thinking about the future for him is daunting. DS2 is a good kid but doesnt get the time and attention that he deserves.

Then there is our financial situation and the fact that money is tight. I try really hard to be positive but I am a natural worrier and everything just seems so bleak. I should delete this post because there are people on here with far worse problems than me - I just wish I knew how to be a bit happier.

YL, please feel free to get things off your chest on this thread: don't apologise for doing so. Lots of us here have gone/are going through bad times and can empathise with your situation, even if it doesn't mirror our own exactly. But so long as you're posting and reading this thread, you're among friends - you're not completely isolated. Sending you big (((hugs))) and supporting vibes xx

I've got a runny nose and not much voice this morning. I woke up at 2.30 and came down for hot honey and lemon and some parrots, watched TV for about an hour (Cleopatra's Tomb, followed by OCC ) and then slept soundly on the sofa until 7.30, so not too bad in the end.

    Today's jobs might be
    - reading
    - gardening
    - looking for inspiration for making marzipan lions for the top of DGS4's christening cake :D

DH has just called me down to breakfast so I'll wish everyone a good day x

    Morning lovelies :hello:

YL hugs sweetie. How are you for lists? Id be tempted to write down each problem into catagories, then sub categorise them and then find a plan of action to solve that particular issue, but thats how I roll lol worth doing a diy one for your OH? He can do one thing a week? a fortnight? a month? whichever suits and you can find funds for, it would be one area thats under control and you can release it from your shoulders xx

Im home alone, both offspring slept out last night so its very quiete this morning, not sure what I fancy doing today really, will have dd2 pick up later but im in a meh mood so will just roll with the punches today. Got my you tube vloggers to catch up on so might just do that whilst ignoring the dishes in the kitchen lol

    laters x
