    Thieves..not thiefs
And no , it's often quite possible to prove it

How can you prove theft at the moment someone picks up an item? I'm talking the second they lift it off the shelf.

    No you are not !!

Yes, I am. I am an Accredited Police Station Representative and represent people at the police station who are suspected of committing offences.

Currently also training to be a Chartered Legal Executive so I can represent people in court.

    .. Ok.. Bless..yawn
Much like your grammar I imagine

    Touched a nerve?

Many police officers sit there with crib sheets that they read off reminding them in what order they have to say things during interview and also to remind them of the points to prove in respect of the offence they are investigating.

I am not criticising the police, most do a damn fine job but it's true that they don't need to know much law.

Why can you not spell thieves?
I find it very hard to give you any credence or respect because of that.
You do need to understand that.
Not sure what this has do with lying security guards tbf

Call it a combination of a moment of inattentiveness and my iPad spell checker not picking up an error. :D

Perhaps you need the alleged spelling crib sheet.
    Good luck with your training.
It's useful on mse to be impartial

Latching onto a spelling/grammar/punctuation error is usually a sign that you have no other argument.

I'm not sure why you started arguing with me in the first place when I was agreeing with you anyway. Did you misinterpret what I said?

What I would say about this thread is that's it's a waste of everyone's time. The OP has made it quite clear they will never shop in tesco again. Therefore for the life of me I don't understand the point of this crusade.

It seems to be so that "Tesco"' no longer think he is a thief. However we all know that "Tesco" don't care about him at all. This "theft" would never be reported beyond the tesco store (despite the countrywide ban). All that is going to result from this is that the OP receives an apology. No policy will change at tesco and if the OP ever returns to the tesco store and is recognised they will think he's a thief.

    The whole thing is ridiculous.

This reminds me of that other thread where you mocked some charity worker who had special needs and tried to charge you for a carrier bag.

Just because some can't spell thieves or is mentally disabled doesn't make them a bad person. You want to really evaluate how you judge people as its not nice at all
