@samwardill Exactly, did you signup with JEFFERIES SOLICITORS LIMITED" or is that an update on here?
  • 4 days and no call from VW after being told I would get a call back in 48.
  • @samwardill

Did you assign "Jefferies Sol" or did they get in touch with you? Or is this just public domain info?

Guy's there are already 2 "live" threads running on this, probably best if you reply to one of those rather than resurrecting this old one.

Sorry for not responding earlier. I didn't sign up with the solicitor. I'm just on their email list.

I note that this is an old thread and I'll switch to the new. Surprised there is no admin to merge them.

Eek - I had my mod done a week ago and the fuel consumption seems to have taken a massive hit - around 10mpg. I'll continue to monitor it but I'm not going to take this lying down. Surely they must have done something wrong?
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.

I've been monitoring comments online and there are different fixes depending on your make and model.

There are a lot of people reporting many problems including DPF failures and lower power and worse efficiency.

One of the group actions is funding an independent investigation into the fixes.

People have reported that once you have the fix they will not reverse it.

Yesterday when I booked my car in for a service the booking administrator told me it was a compulsory fix!!!! That was a lie. I had to ask them to write on the ticket that I did not want the fix at this point in time.

If you want to join one of the group actions there will be a deadline so keep your eye on their websites.
    Peace.

Thanks, I have already joined one.

  • This is proof some of the car 'fixes' cause breakdowns and unreliability....

VW provide free replacement of car parts that failed soon after fix was applied...
    Peace.
