    well done on ebay sales.

i will post later about the nectar card. it's not just ebay and sainsburys

True, although the bulk of my points come from Sainsburys. Nearly every week their coupon site gives me a 600 bonus points when you spend £30 offer. Add this to the product specific offers on that page, till spits and the offers that come through the post (yesterday I got another book of £4.50 off a £30 spend vouchers) the points do add up. Currently they are giving 10 points per litre of fuel too which helps - I buy lots of fuel as I drive a lot for work.

Homebase also give Nectar points. If you go on the Nectar site and click my bonus offers, there are sometimes double points offers for various places. The offers are personalised but at the moment I am being offered 50 points for telling Sainsburys Bank my home insurance renewal date.

If you sign up for Oxfam's Tag Your Bag scheme you can get 2 nectar points for every £1 they raise from your donated goods. This is a good way of getting a small payback from those items which you can't sell yourself. The points do take ages to come through though and I'm not convinced I receive them every time, so just consider them a little bonus from your charity donations.

I spend my points as I go but my mum saves hers all year then gets the Christmas shopping, drinks etc for free.

Sometimes they have special offers where the points are worth more than 0.5p each but to be honest they are not as regular as Tesco Clubcard offers.

In other news, I made 27p from QMee... I think I am going to write off October because I'm struggling to build up enough money to anywhere to get a payout. But this effort should pay dividends in November.

Aespo thanks for the links to the book selling websites. I've found a few books that are worth something so if they don't sell on ebay (listings finish tomorrow) I'll parcel them up and send them off. That will be a few pounds, not as much as I had hoped but "better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick" as my mother would say!

  • Sorry, not been around much this week, life has thrown a few complications my way:mad:. Not money-related complications for a change ( although having some money always helps.)

Well done to all money-makers and the people who post regularly on here with tips and encouragement, and who make this thread what it is:T.

Be back when I can, although without much money-making progress since the last time I was here:o

Ok I'm declaring a success for October at a little over £340 so far !

Now I'm going into Hospital for an op in November, so will be having to take things very easy for a couple of weeks - is it withing the spirit of the thread for me to save the rest of my October sales, (if there are any) to go towards my November total ?
