Morning all.
Hugs, spoons, wishes, sticks & vibes to all!
DD is going away tonight, and ex has said he'll be here between 4.30 - 5pm. She doesn't get in until 4pm usually so I need to add sorting her bag out (she's mostly done it, but often forgets things like pjs :rotfl: ) and making sure there is something for her ready to eat when she gets in. I also need to take all my documents etc off DDs laptop. I use it while she's at school as it runs faster than mine and allows me to play videos whereas mine sulks after 5 minutes of videos. I also work on it and take screen shots of my bill being paid etc then save them. So all those need to be moved across as ex is updating to w1ndows 10 and I can't afford to loose the stuff if something goes wrong. Which remind me I also need to back up my phone to it, then update my phone and make sure I grab that back up incase. Its not ex I don't trust, its the software update :rotfl:
The dog is in a clingy mood today. A few weeks back when he was chewing his back we bought a couple of doggy jumpers from Mr A which helped a lot. This morning he's cold, probably due to the fact he prefers to sleep on the laminate floor behind the door rather than on his bed or the sofas :wall: So we've had a snuggle on the sofa under the quilt while DD was getting ready for school and he warmed up. I got up to see her out, put the heating on to auto when I saw the weather forecast for the next few days and went to make breakfast. Meanwhile the dog is sulking on the sofa. He then gets up and comes into the kitchen jumps up at the shelves where we keep his stuff and grabs one of his jumpers and brings it to me :rotfl::rotfl: I don't know whether he likes the fact that they're snug so its like being cuddled or he was cold but either way he's quite happily laying on the sofa now and looks very cute in his bone patterned jumper. Even more importantly he's warm again.
I have a couple of sewing jobs to do so I'm going to sit and do those first then I can put my sewing kit away again. Its been travelling around the livingroom for about a month as I've had to move it from one place to another. It WILL go away today and stay there until at least Monday lol

Oh my goodness I'm exhausted just reading about all that seems to be happening! Positivity for all those who need it x
I have been doing ok with the lists until Wednesday when I decided to not only clean the kitchen but started painting. I have done half of the walls I planned to do but yesterday I had a niggly headache that wouldn't go away so painting stopped and I just plodded on with a few jobs. The house is reasonably tidy so I shall get on today and finish off kitchen before chaos descends at the weekend when everyone will be at home.
Hope everyone has a good weekend x0 -
Marvellous news, Ionafan, about your shoulder.
For anyone who likes figs, if you can get hold of a bit of fig twig and shove it in a pot, within three or four years you'll be picking your own. They grow really, really easily. Ours are in sheltered, shady spots and they don't mind a bit. They like having their roots restricted, too. We planted two at the top of the communal garden 20 years ago and they're incredibly bountiful, together with a four year old pruned twig in a pot in the yard which gave us six fat figs this year, one of which we let a blackbird have.
Hope you have a better day today, CY. Healing (((hugs))).
Glad to hear DS2 had a better start to the day Dancemum, and that DS1 is learning and adjusting to independence. Prescription sorting vibes for him, too.
Quick cat returning vibes for Mumto5's mog and a (((hug))) for you to keep you positive.
Love the meatballs, Bossy, and while I know I should be good, praying with Ionafan, my rage about Pigger's ex is at your level. Sorting vibes, for you Piggers.
Mrs MP, I think your MiL's quality of life and appetite for it is because you take such good care of her. It's so lovely to hear your good news about your work - congratulations. If the flying has to take a back seat while you adjust to the extended hours, honestly, who's going to fuss about a bit of dust.
The dog doesn't know it yet but he's going to be the focus of my flying today. Last week he rolled on a dead rat *shudder* and I can't get the nif out, so I'm taking him to a place that has three walk-in dog baths and ask them to let me watch while they bath him so that I can learn how to do it properly. And he's got plaque on his teeth so I need to learn how to clean them and the vet nurse has agreed to show me this morning. He loves the attention, unlike my last two so this should be a fun, exhausting morning for him.
Then the kitchen has GOT to be sorted. Stuff everywhere, and nowhere to put it. Every single surface is covered with lovely things to eat and I can't live like that any more.Better is good enough.0 -

Wish me luck cos I really want this to work, I just need to keep on top of my own flying as well so nothing looks like it's slipping but I CAN DO THIS
I hope it goes well, it's lovely when you enjoy your work and it can be flexible round your life (to some extent). I'm lucky as I have enjoyed both my careers (very different ones). Now I'm freelance it is going through a manic phase which is a little alarming, so I'm trying to get very organised (and keep on the Mindfulness course) and hope it sorts itself out. The new contract I've taken on is for 2yrs, and I certainly couldn't cope with 2 yrs worth of this week - I only managed the gym once. Next week my students from last year will start returning to uni, and I will have to juggle that work in my timetable as well somehow.
Flying today has just been putting a few random things away and emptying the DW.
Keep enjoying yourself!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

You cope very well, like others the words fail me and it is hard to stick to our religious/moral codes when we want to see him......stopped.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Thank you all for the moggie finding vibes. DS2 had a 5 minute shouting session in the garden and she eventually appeared covered in leaves and cobwebs on the other side of our bottom fence. He leaned over and grabbed her with one hand but the silly moggie slithered under our side fence back into the woods. He went to get her some food and managed to tempt her out again. She is clean now and back in situ!
Our landing radiator is leaking. The landing carpet is sopping wet. I have receptacles underneath the pipes to catch the drips and someone is coming round tomorrow. I know it was done on Monday but I'm hovering the HSL again today.
Ionafan I bet your are so relieved about your shoulder!
Mrs MP Good luck getting what works and suits you.
Piggers. I understood your exhaustion yesterday as I had a similar day of multiple appointments. I hope you get your injunction sorted asap.
Bossy Glad the tooth is out. It gets less traumatic as they get older and appreciate the gifts the tooth fairy brings.
lynneKJ I loved your comment about figs and marmite. I love both of them!

Glad to hear that moggy has returned home, Mumto5. One weight off your mind. Swift radiator fixing vibes heading your way too.
Hugs to all who need. Especially those who need doctors/hospital appointments sorting out.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Mumto5 glad your girlie is back
Mrs MP, so glad I started my job in the summer. Although I had been invigilating for years and governing to get this in a different area (all be it cricket) has been really good for me, gives me an identity outside of parent.
Ebay collection done.
Washing on the line.
Lunch eaten.
Going to have a cuppa then head off to the next town to run my errands there.
CY is today a good day? Hope so xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
