I had a busy day yesterday so got no flying done. Then a late start today means I am behind with my plans. I have just vacuumed the lounge which I know is usually too much for me.

One of our bathrooms has been out of action for a month now so today's post has encouraged me to chase the plumber.

I am to get it spotless before he gets here.

Hot spot for me today is the lounge dining table which is used as a dumping ground by everybody.

    - watered downstairs indoor plants, fed Christmas Cacti - oops that wasn't on list; but while washing up (also not on list) I rinsed out a milk bottle and didn't want to waste the water.........sidetracked, me??
I had to laugh at this, Narc0 - just like me! Not sidetracked, just environmentally aware :rotfl:

Yay, just been discharged from Orthopaedics Outpatients :j Considering that a year ago they were about to operate on my shoulder, that's good progress! At the moment it's fine 99% of the time and I can cope with the other 1% - just have to remember to reach up with my left arm rather than my right. It will never be 100%, but - hey-ho! - I've had 66 years of good use out of it and can probably manage another 33 or so with care :D

Managed to cross another big, long overdue item off my to do list this morning, did WMx2, cleaned the bathroom and decluttered a ferny thing that has been totally uninspiring over the past year, posted cards, got something photocopied to A3 size, and bought a birthday card for DH's cousin who is coming up 70. DH has been playing on the railway and has just rung for me to collect him, so I must drink up my :coffee: quick and call at the shops to buy DDiL1's birthday present while I'm in town. Tea is cooked apart from the rice and green veg, so hopefully I shall manage an hour planting bulbs before going to choir this evening.

Hugs, spoons and sticks all round, especially to CY (hope your migraine has gone for good and/or that figs prove a cure for it), pigpen, LW and dancemum. Good luck to Mumto5. Welcome Rosie. Glad you found your diary, mrs-mp.

todays farce... CF had taken a 'court order' into school stating I was not permitted to take my daughter out of school for any reason... the 'court order' is in fact a list of notes written by his solicitor photocopied and a judges name written on it!!! He is absolutely mental!!! Her appointment was 11am, I got to school at 10:30 and spent half an hour on the phone to my solicitor and the courts trying to sort this out.. of course there is no court order of the kind and I took her to the appointment.. it was the one we have waited since April for to discuss surgery to even up her leg length so she doesn't have to wear a shoe raise any more!!! Only minor stuff that will have an affect on her entire life.. having the surgery reduces the chance of her developing further hip or back problems or worsening the scoliosis and meaning she will be in less pain and be able to live a perfectly normal adult life... and he was text about the appointment yesterday by the hospital which he of course denies receiving.. so he was going to allow her to miss this really unimportant hospital appointment for some unknown reason other than his own vanity and ego... I am actually at a loss for (polite) words... My poor solicitors secretary has had me on the phone every single day this week.. her ears are absolutely fried! ... Tomorrow I am going to visit her! lmao... on my way to Tesco I'm dropping some papers in for her to photocopy and on the way home I'm picking them up and dropping them with the social worker and sitting back and enjoying the show.. next week we are going for injunctions.. en masse!

I am PRAYING to all things holy, whole and wholly hole that he turns up tonight... if there is any justice in the world he will turn up tonight...

As a result I have spent 2.5 hours on the phone today, 3.5 hours at the hospital and an hour in the car... I am somewhat exhausted and this pain in my chest is not easing off!

LW - sorry to hear your ulcers are back again..did any of those remedies help last time ? Hope they soon gone and you enjoy your 'guests'.
Thank you, yes; I'm currently going with dilute TCP mouthwashes, and regular munching of pineapple - I use pineapple in quite a few recipes, so it's something I always have in the house. I get them at the F&V market when they have them on offer (often have 2 for £1) and Mr LW cuts them up for the freezer.:o

We've got fig pie for dessert, courtesy of @ldi.;)

I've just fed the boys - they need to eat in separate rooms, otherwise Charlie wolfs his down and bullies Harvey away from his dish, so Charlie eats in the kitchen and Harvey comes in the lounge with me and we shut the door while he eats - problem solved!:T

Adding my prayers to your, pigpen! Sounds like he will be getting his come-uppance very soon - the courts don't like their name being taken in vain :rotfl:

Sorry things (a certain person) is still being so carpy pigpen.
I do hope that it all gets sorted soon and he really gets what's coming to him big time.

Back from oncology, as I suspected mil was prodded and poked asked how she felt then told that basically we are wasting our time going back as nothing else is going to be done for her, they went as far as to say that she would not survive anymore surgery. So we got given a card with their phone number on and told we could have an open appt along with a list of viable reasons we could bother them again.
Home to a letter from another dept asking us to be at nerve mapping for the foot problem in one hospital, but we got another letter from the consultant dealing with that issue asking us to be at another hospital the other side of the city, 1/2 an hour later on the same day!!! Anyone got a tardis I can borrow?, have cancelled the consultant apppt as they will have nothing to talk about if we haven't had the mapping done, while on phone I mentioned she hasn't had appt for her foot brace yet, apparently they weren't surprised there's a 23 week wait for those!
Going to grab a coffee and make tea.

Just a little bit more rope, pigpen and fingers crossed they will hang the "see you next Tuesday" (and I detest that word).

Hallelujah DS tooth just came out. He's been sat on my knee, crying, bleeding and hungry - but wouldn't let me sort it :( anyway, naughty mum made meatballs for dinner - he couldn't resist and two bites later the offending tooth was liberated :D

Cleared up after dinner, sorted a box - Halloween stuff and binned some carp.

    Beavers shortly...
