orthopaedic clinic with Moomin today.. looking at pinning the growth plate in her longer leg until the shorter one has grown and caught up so she will no longer need the raise on her shoe.. which she is moaning about having at the moment!
I have double checked the appointment and confirmed we are going and not to cancel it even if God himself calls them.
I need to change the address back to mine.. again.. I am so fluffed off with this!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Healing vibes for you, Lamewolf. Glad you've got the doggos with you even if they are hard work.
Pigpen, I know you don't do (((hugs))) and you're raging against the CF, but please accept *get rich quick* vibes for the financial side of things and *rose-tinted lens dropping* vibes for the social workers and courts. I've never, ever been able to comprehend why some parents feel the need to take their rage with their ex-partner out on their own kids and hearing about your struggles is making me think similar things to Bossy's comment.
BD banishing vibes for you DanceMum.
All of the damaged apples we picked the other day have been carefully frozen so I'll probably do a few of the perfect ones as well so nothing goes to waste. Blackberry and apple pies will be dessert of choice in this house for quite a while.
Stairs finally done, extremely tedious cat allergic lodger has moved out (hurrah!), and all's well with the world.Better is good enough.0 -
Just read back over yesterday's posts. Huge solicitor funding vibes winging towards Pigpen. A d I am trying to summon the karma tank towards her ex.
Yesterday didn't happen here - I had a migraine and spent the day in bed with my head under the pillow. Thankfully the pain has gone and I got plenty of sleep last night.
Hugs and spoons to all who need. Hope everyone has a good day..:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
I think I need to join the flylady thread.
I have moved to a new, bigger house and it is pretty dirty. I couldn't get my head around why I haven't even been cleaning bits that I normally would have cleaned in my old house.
I HAVE HAD A LIGHT BULB MOMENT!
I've realised that because everything is dirty when you look closely, I am mentally adding things to a mental list of 'I will have to clean that when I get time'. Normally if I see something grubby, I will just clean it there and then or leave myself a wee note to go back and do it, but because there is so much, I haven't been doing that.
I think I will pay the money at the library and print off the flylady list and start working through it.
Rosie, sorry, I meant to say Welcome yesterday but I didn't get around to posting. I felt completely paralysed by the state of this place before I started Flying but doing little and often has made a huge difference. I hope you get on top of it really soon.
The freelance engineer has just been and fixed the oven, and given me a masterclass on why the elements keep going. We're keeping this oven, so apologies to Be11!ng for bad mouthing their product; apparently fan oven elements go fairly often due to the constricted space the element has to fit in. I love having a fan oven so I'll just accept that if we replaced it with another one the same thing would happen again anyway. Other than that, it's been a brilliant workhorse for 13 years.Better is good enough.0 -
Thanks Honey Bear x
This morning got off to a loud start. Ds2 had a long large meltdown and was refusing to dress and was refusing to go to school. He did eventually go but kicked the bus before he got on it. My friend came to help just as then bus left. We had a cuppa to calm down.
I have rang the new service we have been offered to clarify some points even though I felt like sticking my head in the sand.

OK list has been trimmed a bit. Our moggie has been missing for 2 days. DD1 and Ginge have been out in the woods next door calling for her but she's not appeared. I've found a pic of her that I'm going to put on FB tonight for our local neighbours to look out for her.
WM emptied, load put on the line. Another load going round. Our water softener is empty so I need to order salt.
Glad your migraine has gone CY. Take it easy today.
HB - I hope a more tolerant lodger soon takes up residence.
Dancemum - I hope the calming cuppa did it's work.
Piggers - words fail me. Good luck with all the extra administration tasks this nightmare has caused.
Dusty - Did you take DS3 to drs? Hope he's ok x0 -
Morning all.
My brain is not working today which may prove interesting. I think it may have washed away when I had a shower this morning :rotfl:Hugs, sticks, spoons, vibes and wishes to all
DD yelled at me this morning while I was in the shower that she needed a blouse for school and asked if she should do it. It was almost 7.30 and she leaves at 7.45. I yelled back that unless she wanted me to come downstairs dripping wet with hair full of shampoo just to iron it then maybe she should do it herself  I wouldn't mind but she knew she didn't have any yet sat on her backside watching Les Mis last night while I was busy doing other things then as the end credits started she moaned she was tired, wasn't feeling well and went to bed  I'd told her to wash up, and iron a blouse or two but she did neither, so I'm leaving the dishes for her for when she gets in, but I've managed to get all the other dailies done.
Gas board haven't shown up yet so I plan on attacking the ironing pile this morning while the dog is snoozing on the sofa and calm. I'm only clearing it as I want to get stuck in with cleaning so I can have the whole weekend off except for some frog munching. The bathroom was cleaned yesterday except for the floor so it won't take long to catch up up there. The bedrooms can be done tomorrow after the beds have been stripped so I can vacuum the mattresses. I'm going to play today by ear I think.
Time to find something to watch while I clear this pile. If I'm really lucky I might even finish my last weekend project off as well! :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Back from GP, bit of an outer ear infection going on so drops and continue with steaming, parrots and antihs. He is brighter.
Mumto5 job getting vibes and be home Misty vibes too.
HBglad the oven is fixed
LW healing vibes
Dancemum and Piggers coping vibes
Welcome Rosie
Going to put the washing on the line, reload machine and pop out with my friend for our weekly walk then home to sort out lunch and do some much needed flying. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Lots of vibes going on for all who need them.
Mixed list as usual:
- done next bit of mindfulness course and trying hard to put it into action when I start madly rushing round multi-tasking and getting nowhere
- quick swish round bathroom
- why is it the simplest things that get left so long and make so much difference? One of my 'list' items was to match up an abandoned filing tray (sitting on floor for about a year) with my current assessment load (bits of paper all over the place). Now I have a clean (washed it), labelled tray with "booked", "to write" and "report in progress" neatly on my desk, and far less paper I need to ransack through in a panic.
- watered downstairs indoor plants, fed Christmas Cacti - oops that wasn't on list; but while washing up (also not on list) I rinsed out a milk bottle and didn't want to waste the water.........sidetracked, me??
- done a few more things from list. I can see the list is not going to be finished by today, but I'm not going to stress. I've just had a coffee and I have 2 specific things I want to do in the garden now.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Hello!
Been out with errands and mooching all morningI looked round the chr******* display at The Range - not purchased! Just looking!
I got DS a Dracula outfit from @ldi - £3.99 it might be rubbish but he won't want it next year so didn't want to pay lots. He doesn't like dressing up all that much.
Also got me some ski gloves and thermal socks for L@pland. Need more kiddie mitts and then I think we're all set. Of course it's ages away yet but I do like to be prepared.
Saw some money boxes with the combination locks on so got 2 as stocking fillers. Plus an anniversary card for a party we've been invited to.
They had figs on special offer in @ldi - got 2 packs. Yum.
Right, I'm going to sort my list and crack on!Bossymoo
