Morning
Up for a bit in the night with DS3, he'll be off again today and guess what it will be me trying to sort out work and possible GP and not DH, surprise, surprise.
Desperately need to do a food shop.
Have a good day everyone. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all.
Piggers - you do make me laugh. I started Christmas shopping last week which is more than a month earlier than usual for me.
Well yesterday I did the 'clean your washing machine' thing from the list and ended up with a kitchen full of suds. Quite comical really. I'll learn to fly properly one day.
Been doing paperwork this morning, will need to do more tomorrow so not sure I'll get to look at the official list before the paid stuff.
Paid stuff actually going well for a change even if stressful.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Morning all.
bunbun - I only use paper from Mr A including for work. I use Logic 500 stuff as I find the cheap stuff doesn't go through the printer too well. You have just reminded me to check my stock and I need another pack before Monday. Thank you!
Dusty - Sorry to hear your mums op was cancelled again.
YL - Hope a solution can be found for DS2. My DD is supposed to do her homework when she gets in, but sometimes it gets forgotten. She's off to her dads this weekend so has decided to save any homework due next week to take with her to give her something to do :rotfl: I'm having a lovely week as a result
Hugs, spoons, wishes, sticks & vibes to all!
Woke up this morning full of manflu. I've decided not to walk the dog first thing as the cold hurts my face and I have no energy. I might walk him later if I'm feeling better, but if not I have plenty of toys and puzzles I can do with him to keep him entertained. Although right now he's curled up on the sofa on top of a quilt dozing :rotfl: So much for border collies being non-stop, this one is a right couch potato given half the chance lol Giving myself an energy boost by having sugar in my coffee, which I hope will give me enough to get through the dailies. I've planned out today with lots of breaks or sitting down jobs. The most draining jobs will be the ironing & vacuuming through downstairs. Tea will be in the slowcooker and doesn't need to go on until this afternoon.
Personal:
Fix curtain rail
WM (mixed, cloths, dog)
Ironing
Sew labels in DD's new school stuff swimming costume done, just 2 pairs of shorts to go and 2 other things in the sewing pile.
Tea in SC?
Put up other curtain rail (after school so DD can help/learn)
Write shopping lists
Catch up on emails/surveys
Call Vets (jabs, snip, claws) for OCT
Phone Docs - HTS

I think I need to join the flylady thread.
I have moved to a new, bigger house and it is pretty dirty. I couldn't get my head around why I haven't even been cleaning bits that I normally would have cleaned in my old house.
I HAVE HAD A LIGHT BULB MOMENT!
I've realised that because everything is dirty when you look closely, I am mentally adding things to a mental list of 'I will have to clean that when I get time'. Normally if I see something grubby, I will just clean it there and then or leave myself a wee note to go back and do it, but because there is so much, I haven't been doing that.
I think I will pay the money at the library and print off the flylady list and start working through it.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Wow Pigpen I am impressed, although you do have a lot of bodies to shop for so I can understand. Sorry to be miserable but I dont really look forward to Christmas. OH has a big family and they go mad with presents. They would never in a million years accept the idea of toning it down a bit.
Lots on today so unlikely to get much flying done. Have a good day everyone.
If I am honest (sitting here in my Christmas jumper!) I'm not looking forward to it either, this is a diversion tactic.. OH's family have said he is not to buy for any of them this year.. he will get something for his mum and probably his sister if I cannot persuade him not too.. and probably his dad too.. yeah so maybe just 2 or 3 less than he usually does. lol... He is making candles.. I'm just going with it.
I do have a nice wee list of what I have/need .. and I'm already on with buying on behalf of my mother.. she won't do it herself so I may as well grab some bargains while I can.
Backed out of lunch with a friend.. I haven't been for about 18 months... other than I can't eat I really don't feel well enough today!
Remembered at 8:37 it is school photo day.. so threw Pixie in clothes while OH got the others in the car.. JUST got into school in time.. pictures done and home again super quick!.. more quids heading out.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
One load of washing on line.
One basket of dry washing folded.
Cleared a load of gibble from dining room table from yesterday's assessment.
Have cleared 3 items on my 'to do' list completely and waiting for responses from other people for 3 others.
Have done one section of my Mindfulness course; week 1 seems to be huge - I should be on week 3 by now........however as I am learning to live in the present and not over-stress about the future, I'm not stressing about it. Much.
Off to uni now.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Afternoon all,
YL I'm with you, I don't look forward to Christmas, it's just all so big and expensive. Piggers you are upsetting me with your Christmas shopping! It is not happening yet. It is still summer. If Christmas was just decorating the House, getting together and eating and drinking it would be lovely, it's just the presents and cards and money that do my head in.
Anyway, back to reality. I have done a six mile walk with the dog, eaten my lunch and nothing else. I am going to try to do all this before 3.25pm, as after that it is swimming lesson so nothing else gets done:

My christmas list is very short
Obvs I will sort the kiddies (DS has a rather extensive list already!) and have started already but other than that probably just my two nieces and my brother and SIL.
Also thinking I'll buy xmas hats for all our xmas dinner guests instead of hats from crackers - will make our place settings at the dinner table. Or maybe I'll have the kiddies make them
Still working - lots of calls today - but almost finished! :TBossymoo
