Just having a quick read while I wait for Charlie & Harvey to arrive.:o
I have given up the voluntary job that I was doing. I was struggling to fit it in and feel like a weight has been lifted from me. I have also been very strong and said no when they asked me if I would help out if they were stuck. Lots going on with DS1 at the moment and it is enough.
I felt the same when I gave up being regional co-ordinator for the Pagan Federation. Also felt a tad guilty, but I'd done 10 years, someone else's turn now.;)

Natty what a super little woofer!

Anyone joining me for some HHCs?

DH has finally come out of hospital today but is now mithering about the house being tidy because he's having visitors over the next few days while I'm at work. Well yes you've been in hospital for a week so its been work, hospital, home, hospital, sorting the dogs and the kids out, doing washing so no I haven't hoovered, dusted, cleaned the kitchen or bathroom and the house is more like a bombsite than usual!

  • Pigpen that made me laugh because I moan that OH does nothing but when he does try to help he just gets in the way!!!

DS2 had a meltdown this morning. This has been brewing. He keeps forgetting to do his homework/forgetting his books etc and then getting into trouble. I took him in slightly late and was even later to work myself. He will be home soon so we need a little chat I think. I confess to being a bit lost as to what to do with him.

So, have run round with the carpet sweeper, wiped the cupboard doors, washed the bin, sorted the clean washing and had a general tidy. Will wash the kitchen floor later or first thing tomorrow morning.

JJ I am slightly behind you but I am going to keep going until DS comes home.

  • Just back in from a full day of paid stuff, took off shoes and grabbed a coffee, then notice answerphone flashing, ring DH, apparently it's on for friends to come round tonight, they are bringing the wine to go with the meal!!!!!! ARRGH what meal, I vaguely remember DHs saying a couple we know through his works might pop round for a drink but I don't recall me cooking being mentioned, I've now got 1 1/2 hours to blitz the bathroom, kitchen, run dyson round. Make a lasagne and run a bath. They are going to be here at 6.30!!!
I just really wanted to do tea and sit with a book or my cross stitch, still at least alcohol will be involved. Better go shops as I'm out of veggie mince.

Hope everyone had a good day.

Got to wait for a text to find out if I'm working all day tomorrow. (Hope so)

Thanks for all your good wishes, op was cancelled, no beds, I have no words.

DS3 not well, had to collect from school, work letting me work from home for rest of day.

Car cannot be fixed until next Tuesday, I'm using DH's and he is off to the states again at the weekend so will continue to do so.

    Dailies done

Mrs MP - hugs, hope DH is helping

YL good decision re the VW, hope you find a way with DS2, phone calendar reminders?

    JJ hugs

Dizzy glad things are better at home

I need to do another HH paid stuff, get the washing in and ring Mum.

  • Thanks for the suggestions for DS. We have had a chat, I think he is feeling the pressure a bit at school and feels overwhelmed. I am not sure how much of my advice he took on board but one thing we have agreed on is that he will do his homework as soon as he walks through the door.

Oh Dusty your poor Mum, bet she just wants this op over and done with.

I am tired tonight. We have a check up at hospital with DS1 tomorrow and I am worried it might not be good news but at least we will find out what the blood tests show. Going to get the kitchen sorted next.
