Good morning everyone, thank you for the warm welcome
Hope all goes well with your Mum's op Dusty.
Natty he looks such a cutie.
I had a really busy day yesterday tackling the living room. Floors swept and vacuumed, woodwork wiped down and dressed damp dusted. We have a problem here with daddy long leg spiders. They seem to get everywhere and their webs make a terrible mess. I vacuumed up as many webs as I could and then used my cobweb brush to de-web the walls. The kitten thought it was a game and kept leaping up the to and "catch" the brush. I put the vacuum cleaner outside for a while so and spiders in there could escape.
I took advantage of the good weather and washed the curtains and the throws from the sofas. Ironing the curtains proved interesting as four of the curtains are full length and double width. With some rearranging of the furniture in the kitchen I managed it. I got them re-hung before it got dark and they look lovely
My order of LED candle bulbs from eb@y arrived during the day so I have finally got rid of those ugly low energy light bulbs and my wall and ceiling lights all now have candle bulbs. Each bulb only uses 3w of energy so all 10 bulbs only use 30w in total.
I'm glad the list is for the kitchen today as I got nothing done in there at all yesterday and at the moment it looks a mess. I shall be cooking and cleaning today.
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -

I'm so tired, I barely slept with the snuffling then Pixie came in too and squirmed all night.
OH kept trying to 'help' this morning so everything took twice as long as usual.. I appreciate him helping but he does everything really slow and just gets under my feet and I don't have the patience for it today.. then he lost half of Dots clothes I had just got out.. I was not impressed!

Healing, finding and calming vibes for you Pigpen. We let two basement rooms and I can't turn the heating off completely until they warm up to just above freezing - which they didn't this year. The dehumidifier needs emptying pretty much every day and has done so all the way through the summer.
I'm not surprised you ran out of energy yesterday Ionafan; I was exhausted just reading your list, and you had it all done by lunchtime! Go You!
I hope your mother's op goes well, Dusty and she recovers quickly.
Natty, I love Banji/Pickle. And he has excellent ears, always a good sign in a dog.
We had to pick all the apples last night because some theiving !!!!!! came into the garden and stripped the pear tree. I am right !!!!!! off about it, too. Still, the apples won't get blown off in a gale and bruised but it does mean I will need to deal with our share today which kiboshes my plans. And I need to take the dog to to the vet nurse to learn how to clean his teeth.
Shame I can't start the stick cleaner to do the stairs until the other lodger wakes up ....Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon all.
I had a big post and lost it as I closed the wrong tabSo Hugs, spoons, wishes, sticks & vibes to all! Welcome to the newbies
I'm working today. I have a deadline to meet tonight, but my work stuff has exploded all over the livingroom so I'm currently trying to tidy it all away. So far I've chucked 3 carrier bags of recycling out, and I'm well into my 4th!This is what happens when DD helps me instead of me just doing it myself. She still doesn't know what stays and what goes so she just creates pile and more piles. Working my way through the last one now, then I can get on with the jobs which are actually needed to be done today!
DD is out with a friend straight from school tonight and won't be home until gone 6.30. I've said I'll meet her at the bus stop with the dog and it'll be an extra walk for him. We did the same yesterday when she came home from school. Now I'm not sure what to do for tea. I'm thinking I might just get a couple of the homemade freezer dinners out and she can nuke it when she gets home.
Not sure how much actual flying I'll get done, even with an extra 2 hours to myself. But I am slowly making in roads with the washing with the 3rd load of the day already in the machine. I have 2 loads out on the line (stuff that was wet from a load I did yesterday), but I've put the bedding in the TD as whats out is all jeans and hoodies and I don't want the washing line snapping under the weight! I'm hoping to get through it all today, but we'll have to wait and see.
