  • My freezer got defrosted over the weekend, it desperately needed it as the door had to be forced shut at times. Looks much better now, and it made me check what was in there.
Plan to feed DH and me then do the gardening and some ironing, got free cinema Tix tonight so going to see a preview of the Martian, looking forward to that.

Hall and stairs were already clear so I have sorted and dealt with a huge pile of mail, three weeks worth. No horrors so it was easier to do.

Still haven't emptied the cases

  • Thanks for the respective lists Natty and Bossy! Was merely lurking by the end of last week, and the house suffered because of it! Managed to tidy the bedroom/LR on sat and did some gardening Sun, but kitchen is looking a bit worse for wear now so that will be tackled later :j:j

PILs brought round some lovely big cooking apples yesterday eve too so will stew/bake/crumble those too this week :p:p Yum!

Bossy, we went to Newcy for the weekend about a month ago and I wish we had known about that place, it looks ace!

    Piggers, that wool looks lovely!

poohbear, sorry to hear your DS isn't feeling great. *healing and restful vibes*

    white-sage, bunbun, welcome!

CY, glad to hear your feeling a bit better.

I might be slightly off-list this week, but I'll post it for when the more urgent jobs (i.e. kitchen :eek:) have been done

Oh, how rage can be channelled

Living room, stairs and hallway floors - cleared. Will hoover in a mo.
Boys' room - both beds changed, laundry washed and TD. Room tidied and straightened and their playroom is now spotless.
HHI ironing done in a right temper - so everything super-steamed. WM and TD both on fourth loads.
Chickens sorted. Light in coop fixed and treats given. 7 eggs collected :)
Windfalls in orchard gathered up - nice ones brought in to use.
Lots of flinging done - 10 things in the bin.
Spring bulbs unpacked - need to plant ASAP. 425 of the little things - did the MSE offer with Thompson and Morgan for a fiver.
    Boiler room is a WIP.
Need to pick up bread and milk on the school run then home to make a pork goulash that no doubt will be cold and unappetising by the time DH decides to return home. He is going to the gym tonight. Good.

    • Binbag dance.. get some decluttering done![/STRIKE] but "only" two decoration figures

As for the decluttering and the bags, coats etc.: I basically to it "on the run" whenever I wear shoes that are uncomfortable, a coat that's too small or anything else I get rid of it immediately. :rotfl: And we had a nice, huge pile of paperwork as well. Dealt with & rest is recycled.

    My own list:
    • cleaned the bedroom floor
    • put the laundry away
    • dust the heating
    • dust the ceiling lamp (I can't even remember when I did that the last time :o )
    • cleaned the window sill
    • wiped my dresser
    • wiped one of my book shelfs (and got rid of a few books!)
    • cleaned my nightstand (what am I doing with 2 half empty water bottles??)

Sorry for this long post but I was on a run today :rotfl: Tomorrow will probably be a bit more calm :)

In as far as lupus will allow.
Probably skim reading and not posting much again.
CY when I had part of my jawbone removed in 1983, I was told to drink G******s. I used to have to go to the local pub and ask for a half pint and a straw, because my jaws were wired together for 3 months!

I only got level one done before walking the dog and paid stuff and after work I had to take ds2's explorer's stuff to his friend's, collect a few parcels from Next (Christmas pressies for the ds's) and buy some printer paper and refill pads for ds1. He has only been in the 6th form a few weeks and has used soooo much paper already:eek: i sorted out the washing when I got home and did some ironing.

Whilst I was walking the dog my back was really aching. It has got worse over the day and I couldn't think what had cused it. Then I thought "ah it was hoovering the stairs". Oh dear I will have to delegate that job to OH in future:T
