I'm in thanks for the list
  • Good morning. I'd like to join you if I may? I am slowly getting my house organised but with six of us living here it sometimes feels like an uphill battle. I think the lists will help me stay on track :) So I will start as I mean to go on and tackle today's list for the living room.

I also went here yesterday which was good fun, challenging, interesting and frustrating all at the same time!

    Oooh, that looks like fun!

Superfast ankle *healing vibes* for you FBO.

Floors sucked with the stick cleaner until the battery died, tidying done, dog walked and all's well with the world here.
    Better is good enough.

  • Morning all! Waving from the sofa.

so far today I have sorted some stuff online, ordered some sheets for DD1 and some jeggings for DD2.

Now about to have another cuppa and think about a quick s&s in the kitchen.

For the meantime DD2 is just working part of Monday, so it has been decreed to be lunch with mum day. She will bring it in from the deli near where she works. Looking forward to it.

Managed to go to a wedding fair with the lovebirds yesterday. So got some good ideas... beginning to see what their priorities are - it's a pick and mix for the guests....

Well enough to contemplate an alcoholic drink last night! I had a G******s! With no ill effects!

    Quick update of my list:

    [STRIKE]- Update my diary
    - 1 long overdue email
    - Put lunch main course in SC
    - Prepare starter, veg and pudding
    - Dust and hoover lounge, DR, hall and lower flight of stairs
    - Dust and hoover downstairs (spare) bedroom and clean ensuite
    - Tidy, dust, hoover, steam mop and polish kitchen[/STRIKE]
    - Lay the table: [STRIKE]two[/STRIKE] one friend[STRIKE]s are[/STRIKE] is coming to lunch at 12.30
    After they've gone:
    - 1 phonecall
    - 1 urgent email
    - Expenses claim
    - Deliver a letter by hand
    - Gardening

One friend has pulled out of the lunch arrangement. The other is still looking forward to it, so I took an executive decision to reduce from 3 courses to two ;) But, anyway, I now have a clean and tidy house (downstairs!) :rotfl:

    Healing vibes to FBO.
Sounds like today has been an improvement on the weekend, CY - enjoy your deli lunch.

    Back later x

My morning went slightly off plan. DS3 told me at 8.25 that he needed the ingredients for DT at school today. Needless to say I didn't have them. Rushed to the co-0p and couldn't get them there. Dropped DD2 and DS3 at school and went to Tesc0. Delivered bits to school after weighing them out in the car! I then went to LYH to complete the freezer defrost. Finally I rushed round to the church to see the primary school harvest festival. I met a friend and went back to hers for tea and cake. Now I'm home I have unloaded the DW and made a fuss of the mutt who is feeling neglected.

    Now to tackle the list!

CY I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your G*****s with no ill effects. I hope you have a good week x

Like several others, I had a late start owing to getting up at silly hour to see the eclipse.
    One load washing on line.
    One report finished and emailed.
    Several emails dealt with.
Now empty case put away - OK I admit one or two items are on the bed waiting to be homed, but it's progress.
Washing up (done by Mr N last night) put away.
Program on R4 about art and dyslexia/dyspraxia listened to (counts as training!).

Lunch next. Desperate to get into garden at some stage as it is sunny.
Welcome back to all returners - holiday or otherwise- and spoons/crutches etc to sick ones. Inspiration and motivation to the rest of you.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
