]Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you Bossy for last week's thread
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
Some of our abbreviations: DH- dear husband, OH- other half, KH- affectionate term for ex husband or partner
DS/DD- dear son/daughter, DGC- dear grandchild, WM- washing machine, DW- dishwasher, LR/DR- living/dining room, RoD- room of doom, Mr S/A/T/M/L/Al- supermarkets Sainsburys, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi. You get the picture!

Welcome home natty thanks for the lists and a big hug for you xx
Belated birthday and anniversary wishes to all those celebrating xx
I missed a lot this weekend while I was away! Good times had, lots of laughter and I also went here yesterday which was good fun, challenging, interesting and frustrating all at the same time!
Back down to earth with a bump this afternoon- although I did watch strictly on catch up while getting stuff ready for school / work. Then kiddies arrived home (my mum took them to the circus!) and took some effort to get their excited little bodies into bed.
So, I'm in this week but around paid stuff as per usual.

Hi all, bossy that sounds really good, glad you had a nice weekend. I am just off to bed, I am in this week, thanks natty, but a few appointments with DS so have a feeling its not going to be an easy week. Night all x0
-
Thanks for threads. I'm in but don't know how much flying will get done indoors as I've heaps of paid stuff and a rampant garden where practically everything needs pruning, harvesting or weeding if not all 3.
Hope to get to gym at least twice.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Evening all :hello:
Thank you Natty for this week's thread and Bossy for last week's.
Back from our holidays in Ibiza and had a lovely, sunny one, including spending lots of time with DS
Had a quick read through the past week and a half and belated birthday and anniversary wishes to those I missed.
Natty - I was so sad to read your news
Pigpen - love the wool and the hat, especially the little darling wearing it !
CY - sounds like you've had a bit of a 'mare this week. Pleased to hear you feeling a bit better and sending vibes to defeat the beast.

Thank you Natty for this weeks thread.
I'm just going to write down what I think I need to do tomorrow and hope the dog walk in the morning motivates me rather than wears me out.
Personal:
Start food tracking again.
Fix curtain rail
WM (mixed, lights, darks, bedding, towels incl. blind, cloths, dog)
Ironing
Sew labels in DD's new school stuff
Tea in SC?
COLLECT BOOKS
Work
Put up other curtain rail (after school so DD can help/learn)
Nag DD to do maths homework (she was struggling with 1 set of questions, the question itself doesn't make sense so we think there's a typo in the formula!)
Re-jig bookshelves.
Write shopping lists (DD has been on a use it up even if thats being wasteful trip today )
Sort out desk drawers
Catch up on emails/surveys
Call Vets (jabs, snip, claws) for OCT
Phone Docs - HTS

I'd better think about heading upstairs for my shower and bed. Its been a long day :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Thank you Natty. I would like to join in again this week. We got home from our 3 week holiday to find the house needs cleaning from top to bottom
DS3 is ill in bed with a chest infection and things just seem to have got too much for him. The cats and dog are fine though, hens seem okay too.
I am a bit short of spoons after the travelling but I will do what I can, maybe get DH involved as he isn't working.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Thank you Bossy and Natty for the lists.
In the first part of this week I hope to get back to a proper routine, though everything will go to pot again on Friday and Saturday. I have prioritised my personal to-do-list and am trying to plan my days better, as I have a lot of books to read over the next few months.
Today's list (DH is playing on the railway all day):
- Update my diary
- 1 long overdue email
- Put lunch main course in SC
- Prepare starter, veg and pudding
- Dust and hoover lounge, DR, hall and lower flight of stairs
- Dust and hoover downstairs (spare) bedroom and clean ensuite
- Tidy, dust, hoover, steam mop and polish kitchen
- Lay the table: two friends are coming to lunch at 12.30
After they've gone:
- 1 phonecall
- Expenses claim
- Gardening
Must get to bed.
Hope everyone has a good week, especially CY x0 -
Welcome back home natty I hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your holiday. Thanks bossy for last week. I managed to complete 95% of the lists and the house is looking almost organised.
Just back from watching the lunar eclipse. I certainly wouldn't have been in the mood for it/conscious enough to do it this time last year. It was lovely. Hazy, but we could see plenty. We slept from 2300 to 0130 and were sitting in a field by 0215. Fully layered up and with hot chocolate. I started getting cold about 0340 so we came home. Now just thawing out before bed.
(((hugs))), sticks and spoons as required. CY glad you have a dishwasher. Do you have a hob? How is the neighbours' phone line?
Happy birthdays/anniversarys. Hope everyone's week starts well. This week is a bit up in the air - I sprained my bad ankle on Friday.
Thankfully not as badly as I feared (last time I was on crutches for six months, and it sent my tentative recovery out of the window. Friday I was miserable and then DH came home after an absolutely horrific day at the hospital and had a tumbler of whisky. I was OK, but felt the need for a meeting on Saturday. I was weight bearing today, but my ankle is a horrific black and blue colour and someone seems to have strapped half a golf ball to it!
I'm off to bed for a couple of hours. Happy MondayGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0
