    Howdy all

Well DD has been and done her ballet and tap rosettes. No idea how it went but there were 3 little ones yet that tap one sounded like a herd of elephants lol, they definitely moved, that's for sure! She can't remember what she had to do, haha. She's really tired though now.

Have just returned a giant wooden connect four and Jenga garden games to their rightful owner - phew, they were massive and taking up my space since my birthday party the first weekend in July!

Goin back out to a party at 4 - with kiddies. It's in a local pub so we will walk I think. Fresh air and I can have a glass of wine ;)

Casserole in slow cooker for later - steak and sausage so plenty for tomorrow and something to suit everyone.
Stopped at @ldi on way home for juice for DS school trip. He was reading in the car about Romans and I was in hysterics when he was telling me how they had "charity races" and how odd it was that someone put a banana (banner) up to sell food at said charity race :rotfl: bless him. Thank goodness he can laugh at himself...

Right, I'm going to fill in and sign their planners then get stuff ready for morning!

  • Good afternoon. It is glorious here. One of those beautiful mellow autumn afternoons. Grandson has gone home, twins are doing homework and husband has gone out for a ride on his Harley.

I am sat here contemplating making a start on the mess my grandson has left. He only comes for a day but goodness me what a mess he makes. His dad bought him a comic with a painting and glitter freebie on it. My whole living room now has a delicate coating of sparkles everywhere. Even the our black kitten is now black with sparkles!! I have tried wiping over our leather sofas and although they look much better they are still sparkly. It may take some time to be rid of them.

Just off out to get the washing in before it starts to drop cooler and then after tea I shall be sorting out our halloween decorations.

Me again. I'm done with the garden for today although there is still some weeding to do.

Next is another dog walk, then maybe a soak in the bath with a magazine.
Spend less now, work less later.

I have bitten the bullet and thrown out the flowering houseplants - the azalea I have had since my sis bought it for Easter about 4 years ago. Everyone else's (i.e. mum's and other sis) died ages ago. And the begonia - both keep dropping dead, brown flowers so they have gone in the compost bin.
This will streamline kitchen windowsill cleaning from now on:cool:
I have also removed the window sticker flytrap and cleaned the window.

Indoor cricket done, great game. Another tomorrow - without my satnav (still driving DHs car) I got lost going and coming back, dread t think what I'll be like in the dark tomorrow.

Filler should be dry so going to quickly undercoat the window sills and then make the chicken pie and apple cake and get the washing in.

Hurrah! Kitchen is SPOTLESS :D However, dining room is now a tip:rotfl:

Winter curtains up in the lounge at the window - just need to repair and recover the sofa seat cushion and arm where the puppies chewed it  - make and hang curtains for the door and stairs, repair the blown plaster, repaint the inglenook....and about 100 other jobs before the snow comes...

Have about a dozen things left to iron, then for the first time since June I will have an empty basket!!!!

Lots planned for the coming week - let's see how far I can get before I collapse in a blithering heap.

    Snap:rotfl:

I have ironed today's load (though not a lot) and the sheets so they are now airing.
