Most of the house hoovered
DW on
Washing up done
Food cupboard emptied and wiped out, just got to put it all back now, in some sort of order. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I vacced the stairs down this afternoon
Also washed uniform and looked through the high-school style work planners that my 5 & 6 year olds have brought home from school (rollseyes) they are full of rules and regulations and even the reception kiddies have to "sign" the bl00dy use of Internet agreement. !!!!!!. Common sense appears to have left the building.
Anyway, had a nice dinner and a quiet night with two rather tired kidlets. Also arranged to drop off the mahoosive garden games taking up half my DR back yo their rightful owner. Sunday is looking rather busy!
Hope you all have a nice weekend, and CY hope you've had a "good" day xxxBossymoo

Well it took me a good 4 hours to do the sewing. I was busy watching a series online and just kept clicking through to the next episode and the next thing I knew it was 2pm! The blind is much better now although it does need replacing.
I managed to get my stuff off DD's laptop and updated my phoneWhen DD got in I went up with her to check she had everything sorted to pack and she was only packing stuff to spend one night :wall: I was 99% certain she was staying tomorrow as well so I made her text him and I was right :rotfl: At this point she panicked over whether she had enough trousers to take, what shoes she should wear as they're walking the length of Blackpool lights tonight after watching the firework display, then whether she had enough room to put her homework in the bag, whether the laptop would be done updating my phone and a million other things. This is the child who went to bed at 8.30 last night as she was "ready except for toiletries" :rotfl::rotfl: Funnily enough after I stepped in and packed 3 out fits, 2 pairs of shoes and repacked her toiletries removing the duplicates while she got changed (I did consult) everything fell into place and she was ready to leave 10 minutes before ex got here
I've washed all the dishes, vacuumed right through downstairs, put the throws back on the sofa and had a really good tidy up. Its a good job I did as well as I've just found the renewal form for my provisional driving licence. It expires on Monday! I thought it expired on the 20th for some reason!!! After a little investigating I've discovered the post office in town is open tomorrow morning and does it so I'll have to go there and pay the extra £5 to get it sorted. It just means I have no ID for a few weeks until it comes back, but its a lot cheaper than paying out for a new passport which has actually expired!
I'm just going to write a list or two for places I can pop to tomorrow for basic groceries. Unfortunately I have bills going out on Monday when my next lot of money doesn't go in until Tuesday and a daughter in locust mode! I cooked a load of chicken strips last night, enough for a meal or three with the intention that I could have it with salad or a jacket spud while she's not here. I opened the fridge this morning and the chicken has gone, there's hardly any milk (already using my back up milk) and hardly any bread. I wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't gone shopping already this week for a top up shop! There's also hardly any fruit when the bowl was full on Monday and DD was declaring she doesn't like any of the fruit in it. I know I haven't eaten it all so it "must be the dog"(!) Speaking of which, he needs a bag of dry food from the "at home" shop. So there's £9 gone!
Right, lists and bed. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Evening all :hello:
Had a productive day and finished most of the lists and did some of the dreaded ironing (about half)
I spent half an hour doing some Spanish and have just run a lovely warm bubble bath to jump into in five minutes
The morrow I have a small pile of filing to do, about an hour and a half of ironing and a small list of shopping. I should be able to get it all at A*di. I also need to renew my library books but can do that online.
(hugs), spoons, sticks and gw vibes as needed
Hope you all have a super weekend

Pigpen as Valli said you dont know half of it. This thread is so important to me and I know you dont do too much mushy stuff but you are an inspiration - as are the other flyladies. I am honoured to know such a great bunch of people.
Bossy planners at age 5 and 6?? No, its wrong. My SIL gave up a good career teaching reception/year 1 for exactly this kind of reason. Primary school should be about finding their feet in the big wide world, learning social skills and independence and just having fun. Learning to read and write is only part of it.
Not sure what today brings. DH still full of cold, DS2 is still getting over his cold and is really tired but no doubt has a mountain of homework.
A could do with a clothes cull, maybe should try and ebay a few things.0
