Ohhhh,if you say things like that you'll hurt his feelings, then he'll go all sulky and take it out on Helga, she'll have one of her turns and the voles shall run amok, again.

Now,do you really want that on your conscience?

Look,he's made a lovely squid surprise kedgeree with buttered curried manky cabbage and a side serving of scrag end of shark.Lovely.

    Oh go on.

Oh dear. Here comes Mrs Doyle on cue with a nice pot of tea.Oh look at these lovely eggy cupcakes.Yummy!

    What's wrong with that?

    I wish I hadn't had such a big breakfast....

Today was spendy for me.I took advantage of the 'once a month' 19% all non prescription goods at my chemist's and bought my favourite organic almond butter and some B vitamin tablets. On my cc,cause my food budget is already small enough not to allow such things.I took my cards out today,to pay at the chemist's,but for the rest of the month will now will leave all cards at home.
And some bananas in the supermarket.Such extravagance....oh and a new watch battery at the cheapest going (5 francs).Blah,blah,blah.Sorry.

I have developed a new technique whenever I have to go through the shopping areas in town.I no longer look in the windows walking by..I'm very good about not being tempted anyway, but really need to become very 'hardcore' about it.

Money is tighter than a very tight thing.Thankfully so far I'm seeing it as a challenge, and not a major frustration.I've just paid off my cc bill for when I was on holiday.Next month I won't such a high amount to pay,so will have more to put aside for my budgets, which are looking a bit sparse. :o

eta I've also started shopping at Aldi more, and am working out a shopping list that would incorporate say buying their cheapest soft cheese (250g) to last me a week, one of their flours (I have a BM and use religiously) is far cheaper than elsewhere, different things like that that are helping me feel more secure about where my food money goes.

Hubby is out for the day. I was going to go out but have very little money till pay day later this week. So I went to the gym then came home dyed my hair (only used half of the kit). Then made 5 scones and a fruit crumble for tomorrow ( using up bits from the cupboard and freezer). Staying in tonight watching tv. Going to cook receipe from Jamie's Italy cookbook - prawns in a sundried tomato sauce with pasta, rocket and Parmesan ( all sourced from the cupboard).

Sadly not a NSD today because......got too late to cook my planned meal of Italian pork meat balls and pasta, so we had a takeaway instead. And why did this happen? Because OH was fiddling with the tumble dryer. And why was he doing that?

The poxy thing blew a fuse and died on me mid-load!!!! We now have to buy a new heating element for it.

WILL YOU CLOWNS UP THERE ON MOUNT OLYMPUS HAViNG A LAUGH AT MY EXPENSE PLEASE PACK IT IN AS I AM GETTING SERIOUSLY ANNOYED!!!

*Telegraph sounds similar to a pneumatic drill, causing The Voles to congregate in Hubert's nappy stores. Cheffie scribbles manically, trying to keep up with the message coming in on the mushy pea tin & MrsD's knicker elastic that passes for ship-to-shore communication device...
