1. Going to the Library, got a knitting book, a quilting book, a cake decorating book and a Nigella Lawson cookery book. No doubt I won’t do any but I like looking at the pictures and imagining what I could make.
1. Finding out I'm not the only one that just likes to browse recipe books with no intention of cooking most of the stuff :rotfl:
2. HM butterbean soup tasting much better than I remember (it was found in the freezer - made in October).
3. My shopping just coming into budget and (hopefully ) needing nothing else till payday at the end of next week.
4. Trying to think of next month as being a huge grocery challenge for me and will push me to reduce our grocery bills long term (need 2 new tyres on the car)
5. Knowing there's lots of helpful people on here that will try to help me stretch my food out while I'm waiting for payday (during said challenging month).

Good morning all
My five for today:
1. Went to a lovely restaurant for dinner last night with OH. Not very OS, but had a great time.
2. A surprise visit from the couple who were our neighbours 30 years ago, great to see them again.
3. Took the dog for a walk on the beach.
4. Went to pick more apricots from the tree and none were ready, so didn't have to process them.
5. Tai Chi on the neighbours lawn.
Blessings be

Hi everyone, my list for today:
1. Joining Revelry and finding there is a local knitting group who meet twice a month - hoping to go along and get some help when I feel brave enough to move on from scarves!
2. Finishing the ironing pile.
3. Sorting the herbs and spices box - been threatening to do it for weeks.
4. Enjoying a delicious hm stew with herby dumplings - heavenly last treat before returning to the s.w. fold.
5. Cleaning the oven - can stop feeling guilty about it now.0 -
If it's from Tesco they also do a lovely jalepeno one and a lemon and coriander one (which I found in the reduced section)too mmmmmm
I got a little mixed-pack one from Sainsburys. The other ones were roasted veg humous which I had for lunch today (and also was lovely) and lemon and corriander which is for tomorrow. It's nice to make a new discovery. I need a failsafe, home-made humous recipe that tastes nice - haven't found one yet!
Apart from lunch... my other pleasures of the day include:
1. Selling a load of things which earned me over £70 which went straight into the bank.
2. Booking some more freelance work.
3. Buying a stainless steel food mill (the Mouli sort) to make non-lumpy soup because our electric liquidiser died last week. I thought it made sense to replace it with something that was non-electric and this new one looks as if it will last.
4. Having a yummy supper of baked potato, with mackerel, sweetcorn and cheese topping, and carrots and broccoli made by DS1.
5. Sitting watching The Victorian Farm followed by What the Victorians did for us well wrapped up and knitting Sock #2.
Sleep well everyone.0 -
Yesterday
1. Boots Bargains - giftsets etc.
2. Making HM yellow split pea and coconut dhal from an MSE recipe
3. Freebies - Shower saver and Boots trial of face cream
4. Job on MSE
5. Knitting books from library to give me inspiration for when I start to learn
Today
1. Free Sainburys vitamin C with zinc
2. Free plant left outside local posh florist with take me i'm free.
3. Joining Revelry and hoping to get on there with some mse peeps
4. Hot value squash
5. Will Smith on BBC Breakfast and This Morning - always excellent entertainment value - possibly the first OS movie Star.
6. Raspberry Ruffle left from Christmas
7. 1/2 of a jar of Yellow stickered pumpkin soup for lunch and finest smoked haddock fishcakes with leek and cheese sauce for dinner
8. curling up with a book on the sofa.
9. Tesco Healthy Living Club mag and money off tokens _ they must have noticed I buy more Value stuff now as the tokens have a more useful spending limit on ie spend over £1 as opposed to spend over £5 on fruit etc which id never do.
and 10 10 FABULOUS 10 managing to get tickets for our cup tie at Kettering. Chance of about 1 in 5. We do not know the exact odds as yet but I wasn't very hopeful as it is a tiny ground and we probably won't get a lot of tickets.I ADORE little grounds, real grounds where you can stand etc...:D:D

Thursday blessings...
1. received a beautiful thank you note from my little great niece, she's only two so I was very impressed at 'her' writing!
2. received free samples of shampoo and conditioner for red hair...I don't have red hair but DD has just coloured hers and it is rather red this time
3. seeing 7 Staffie pups playing and tumbling over each other in the next door but one gaden, they're adorable! I wouldn't want them all in my house though, my neighbour says she has to be careful where she puts her feet! They'll soon be gone to new homes but lovely to see them all enjoying each other's company today.
4. Did 3 loads of washing tonight using a tiny bit of washing powder, some soda crystals, a teaspoonful of Stardrops and economy 7 electricity
5. Watched a late movie, Leaving Las Vegas, which was recommended by friends and seems everyone but me has seen it! Thoroughly enjoyed it even if I did struggle to keep my eyes open toward the end0
