  • I posted the other day but my post didn't go and got lost. I then read on the 'tough' thread about all the poor folk facing redundancy so top of my list has to be:-

    1. Knowing that the mortgage is paid off and we have our home.

    2. DH retiring next summer, so no more worries about job losses.

    3. A smaller income yes, but plenty of OS nowse to help me to cope.

    4. Lots of baking yesterday to help keep me warm and the freezer full.

    5. A wonderful husband home for the weekend, yes we're all only human and he gets in my way at times but it would be far worse not to have him.

    Bella.

    5. It's less than a month until Christmas

Thank you Beki for the link to the Snowman soup, unfortunately I won't be able to do it as there is gelatine in marshmallows (but might still treat myself to a nice cup of hot chocolate tonight after reading that!).

    Here are mine today:

1 - Breakfast in bed, soft boiled eggs with chopped steamed rye bread and all mixed with the last of the mayonnaise in the bottle - Yummy!

2 - At the "make your own cosmetics" class I made an oatmeal and clay scrub and a rose and clay cleansing mask. Lovely smells of real essential oils, and 100% natural!

3 - Lovely meal at the Blackheath Age Exchange centre (HM leek and potato soup, cheese toastie with salad and HM apple chutney, fruit cake, cup of tea) for the princely sum of £5.55

4 - Finding three really nice bargain books in the Age Exchange sale

5 - Last but not least meeting the lovely LilacLillie at the first SE London OS meet (also at the Age Exchange centre)

    Good night all!

    Caterina
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
