    Hi all,

It's a glorious afternoon here. I have a book to go back to so must be quick!

    1. An Eton mess after dinner (strawberries, cream and meringes).
    2. Keeping a strict toiletries spend limit in place - I have cupboards of stuff that Boots would be proud of! Plus using up stuff is more fun.
    3. Finding out about rwww.rocketgarden.co.uk and arranging for a catalogue to be sent to a friend.
    4. Taking it easy.
    5. Speaking to a friend on the phone.

    :A
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.
 Fab thread: Long daily walks

Ollie, sorry for total ignorance but what's a tragus? Thanks!

Here are my pleasures for the day:

1 - Got paid for the last week babysitting. Even if I did not get paid as much as I expected (she seems to have forgotten that I did an extra day, I was expecting a bit more) it did not matter too much, it was good to work with such a lovely baby. And it is good to have all the money for the week at once, ready to spend on my birthday week of treats!

2 - DD and her BF made the most spectacularly delicious homemade pesto and saved me some pasta with pesto for lunch.

3 - Found that if I get broadband with O2, as a current O2 customer I can get a really good deal. So I am swapping, and also getting £60 on top via Quidco!

4 - All the veg are doing so well in my gardens front and back, I am really grateful and delighted.

5 - DS went away for the weekend but as he left I heard another knock on the door and it was him, quickly back to give his mum a big hug and a kiss before going (and this, in front of his friends, too! WOW!)! It was totally lovely!

Have a good evening everybody! xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Hi all, hope everyone is well.

    Here's mine:
    1. Sunshine
    2. Lovely yummy lunch - olive ciabatta rolls, ham, edam, pastrami, spinach and low fat mayo - not very mse but since it all came from sainsbugs, cheaper than me buying from the sandwich shop :p
    3. Feeling like the fog in my brain is lifting a little, hoping it will last.
    4. Finally making a meal plan for next week. Haven't really done this for a few months so it's an achievement, haven't been making any decisions recently either so again, an extra achievement.
    5. My OH's face when I brought him back a magnum ice cream after lunch :D
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • Just popping on quickly to wish Bella a happy holiday and to let Ollie and Calamity Jane (luv that nickname, by the way :D) know that I've got everything crossed for them.

(((Hugs))) to all and will pop back later to catch up with the rest of the tread xxx

Hi Caterina - sorry my ignorance (not yours) for not explaining properly. It's the bit of gristle that juts out from your head towards the shell of your ear. It's more defined in some people than others - mine is actually very 'pinchable' with finger and thumb so was quite easy to pierce.

traguspiercing.jpg not my ear I might add lol.

Supposed to hurt a bit more than ear-piercing, though have to admit that I didn't feel 'pain' as such - felt the guy tugging the needle through though and inserting the ring afterwards, but not 'pain'. Takes around 8-10 weeks for full healing - bit of a beggar if you lie on that side while in bed (which I didn't think of at the time ).

    Here's my offering for today:

    1. Sunshine!!

    2. Felt well enough to do a little light weeding in the back garden.:j

    3. Tried a new recipe (Birsay biscuits) and they've turned out alright.

    4. Weekend coming up, so will have Mr LW here for two days.

    5. Molly-Dog will be here in about an hour and a half. (Can't wait!:o)

Hope everyone has a good weekend, with plenty of OS blessings in it.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Hi chaps! Have just caught up with you all after a few days away. Our pleasures are

    1) Having DS and DD home again after camp. I can stop that funny little radar at the back of my mind that says they're not around
    2) Had a lovely holiday in the Lakes with DH. Some spectacular walks - I'm sorry some people got flooded out of their campsite but the waterfalls were amazing
    3) Holiday washing drying on the line
    4) DS says I am 'Life's Declutter Button' and it's true. I am currently helping a good friend sort their house out, the only person who's ever taken me up on the offer.
    5) DH has just announced he wants a fire this evening and he's going to get some coal and a film.

  • Okay Ollie - now I'm impressed - go you :T

    Here goes my five:

    1. The bathroom lining paper is up and dh is still his normal 3d-shape :rotfl:

    2. The hallway bannister and hand-railing are all sanded down ready for painting - I did have fun with the electric sander :D. They were old, mahogany brown with chipped varnish and black mould spots - eughhh. Now they are right back to the wood :T. Have tbh though, after 3 hours work I'm pooped and I think I'm going to be very sore and stiff tomorrow.

    3. Cleaning up the 'orrible mess I made sanding :j

    Looking forward to:

    4. A nice hot shower

    &

    5. A pint of ice cold lager

I hope everyone has a good weekend. Take care all xxx
  • Hi everyone
Pouring with rain today, so its a good opportunity to hunker down and enjoy the house. My five

    1. Watching DGS play lego, he arrived with a huge box of it and has been happily playing for hours.

    2. Enjoying the togethjerness and precious moments that family bring. Mine all live several hundred kilometers away, and while we do see each other often, its not on a day to day basis.

    3. Making cottage cheese today.

    4. First of the new seasons eggs from my lovely chickens.

    5. Seeding bench I set up in the greenhouse looks so good. I have put an agricultural blanket on it, and have tomatoes and beans germinated.

    Blessings be
    Jennie
