Hi all, I'm Courgette. I miscarried twins last week so am gonna make a real effort to post here everyday while I recover
1. Have spoken to two lovely friends already this morning
2. Slept through the night
3. Have started a new book which shows promise of being really good
4. Am going for a walk in the countryside with my H2B when he gets out the shower and we get round to making a picnic
5. I'm marrying the man of my dreams in 11 weeks' timeUpdating soon...0 -
Courgette - so sorry about your miscarriage. A double whammy like this must have been a real blow. Do look after yourself and take time out to try and come to terms. Hopefully a nice relaxing afternoon with your fiance will do you both good and with an exciting wedding to look forward to, the future will have something good beckoning for you both.0

4. got a bowl full of blackberries on afore mentioned walk
5. Found a stash of wool I missed so now have the colours I would have had to buy.
Actually 6 pleasures today cos I had time to sit and read the Sunday paper and its many years since I had time for that.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Dear Courgette,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your babies, there are no right words for such a loss and I can only say I think of you (((((((HUGS)))))))
BTW this is the right place for sharing, everybody is ever so kind and loving and it feels like we are a large family of sisters (with the occasional brother thrown in occasionally!).
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Dear all
Here I am again today.
Patchwork Quilt, thanks for your good wishes about my week without DH - so far these two days have been ok, I miss him but am also feeling ok in my space, if it makes any sense. I would not want to be too long without him but a few days might not be a bad thing after all. Check me back on Friday (and don't quote if I am whinging, please!).
Ollie, the food events are the upside of living in London, I suppose!
Ollie and Sparrer I loved both poems, they are really great and so much truth in them! BTW Sparrer, well done for your weight loss, I wish I had the willpower to turn away from so much fattening food!
Here are my blessings of the day (some, among so many!):
1 - Finished reading a wonderful book called "Eat, love, pray" by Elizabeth Gilbert - very inspiring, funny and moving, I would strongly recommend it! I am going to lend it to my friend, I know she will love it too!
2 - Got up full of energy, made pancakes for the kids (DS, DD, DD's BF) washed my bedding, cleaned the kitchen, did another wash and went shopping for a few bits and pieces - all in the space of a morning, very unusual for me, especially on a Sunday!
3 - Had lunch with DS and one of his friends in the garden, lovely weather and nice company of young people. DS unusually chatty!
4 - Popped into Sainsburys towards closing time and found quorn sausages, ready mash and box of raspberries, each reduced to 30p. No-brainer dinner tonight!
5 - I got a couple of good treats via my mobile, one is "surprises" unlimited calls to other O2 mobiles - so I am going to talk to DH for a loooooong time tonight! The other is "treats" 20 minutes a month for 3 months to other O2 mobiles and landlines!
Have a great evening all! xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
(((Hugs))) to Courgette
My five for today are:
1. Feeling in a great frame of mind (not that I am normally a grumpy old bat, you understand, but today I really have felt full of zest and zing).
2. A beautiful sunny day here in Bristol, which meant that I could catch a bit of the annual Harbour Festival.
3. Using our wonderful free library resource to get some great books.
4. Making a yummy batch of soya yoghurt which will last me the week.
5. Walking down to the Festival which is about a 4 mile round trip, so getting some exercise in today.
6. Spending time work on my future plans, which include escaping a job that I outgrew light years ago, and which recently has been the source of much stress and upset. I am feeling very happy and optimistic about what the future holds.
7. Researching a local cafe where I can go to start the process of brushing up my rusty Spanish - they hold conversation classes there and maybe I can help somebody with their English in return.
So all in all, :j and :T

Hi guys
Had a weird day today;
1) Free bottle of wine for running an errand for my parents
2) AF finally arrived so I can stop fretting about being pregnant
3) Finally got the washing dry
4) Watching the Royle Family - it always reminds me that you don't need money to be happy, just family
5) Writing down my 'goal' - to be a stay at home mum until my kids are at school. It gives me something to work towards. I need to reduce my outgoings by circa £200.Taking baby-steps :beer:0
