    Mine for today

    1) Managed to keep the house nice two days running!
    2) Getting DS to eat veg by mashing a load of boiled frozen veg in potatoes and cheese
    3) Running on the WiiFit for 20 minutes!
    4) Taking DS to the river to see the ducks and seeing the look of delight on his face
    5) An amazing thunder storm - the lightening struck literally just behind the houses opposite

After having a little bit of a woe is me day yesterday (got a negative pregnancy test) today has really lifted my spirits.

I'm so sorry Nitha. Chin up! I hope it will happen for you, in the end.

    1) Going out for brunch with some good friends. We were trying to save money by not going out for a meal and having a bottle of wine. I think we did.
    2) Peaches. I'm quite addicted, every year.
    3) Managed to book a 3 night stay in the Lakes and got £30 off by being cheeky.
    4) Last minute invitation to dinner this evening. I would gladly make dessert but have been told just to turn up.

That's it for now. Hugs for all those that need them, lurking or not. Have a lovely evening

Feeling a bit more perky today, so what pleasures did I find?

    1. The ironing up to date.

    2. The house cleaned through with the help of DH.

    3. Mega baking session, cherry bakewell tarts with DGS in mind as the bought ones he loves are not safe for his peanut allergy. 3lbs of flour became 2 large loaves and a dozen rolls and I made the usual date scones for the days when we 'scone at home' instead of having coffee and scone out.

    4. Pilchard pie for tea from my Kitchen in the Hills book by Elizabeth West, and one for the freezer. Very economical and DH said it was nice.

    5. Just 'being', even though my hands and wrists hurt and I'm tired out again.

    Bella.

Congratulations Kim on your graduation, I graduated today as well :T Happy that my mam, dad and boyfriend all came to see me, and grateful that I didn't trip over on the stage :rotfl:Got taken out to lunch by my parents, had a lovely sandwich with bacon, grilled chicken and avocado relish which I'll be making for myself at some point. Shame about the weather though, it's been absolutely chucking it down constantly all day.

    3) Swimming with DH and the DS's.
    4) Finding enough points for us all to go to Legoland for half price as a birthday treat for DS's.
    5) Making two hm pea and mint (from garden) quiches for a friend's birthday tomorrow.

Thanks for all the good wishes re the job folks but am not too hopeful. According to a friend who was a personal reference for me the girl from the agency did not call them for a reference today as she promised she would. I also noticed that despite signing a form to say they held a copy of my passport and being asked to bring it in even though I am already registered with them, they did not ask to see it or take a copy of it.

Have to go back at 3pm Monday to sign and get the job details which they were meant to be giving me at my appointment yesterday

Got caught up watching Jonathon Ross last night so mine for yesterday are
    1. Seeing the birds bathing in the makeshift birdbath (foil tray - classy!) in the garden.
    2. Lovely homemade cottage pie for tea and DD1 not noticing all the hidden vegetables within.
    3. Walking my dog under the trees near our house so not getting wet.
    4. DH "working from home". Just nice to have him around.
    5. Lovely hot shower, new nightie and mug of cappuccino.

    Will post todays later.
