Five OS Pleasures in your day today

Hi all,
Unusual for me these days, I am online in the morning (tut-tut hehhehehe) but I managed to do some work, which is nice because it is out of the way for the day and I can spend the rest of the day doing other things!2. Another fine day which I mustn't 'waste' as I did yesterday (shopping, the park then tea with DNeighbour and her DD). The garden is a miniature jungle, how does it happen overnight?! I shall enjoy mowing, weeding, then sitting with a cup of tea and admiring what I've managed to do so far...
Sparrer, that day sounds to me so NOT wasted, but enjoyed to the full!
BigMummaF, I am sorry to hear that you have not been able to get a lot of pleasures lately, and glad you got some yesterday at last - wonderful news re. your first breast scan!
ampersand, how lovely that you get soooo many pleasures, that's great!
Anyway, here are my pleasures for today (so far):
1 - Tea in bed courtesy of DH, isn't he sweet, he always does this for me in the morning even though he is rushed to go to work. I am so grateful for his kindness!
2 - Followed by two slices of toast with M&S rhubarb and ginger conserve (courtesy of myself:p), also in bed, with a nice mag to read.
3 - Managed to do all my paid work for the day and savouring the leisurely time doing the housework at a relaxed pace, got to do another load of laundry since the sun is out and a bit of tidying up here and there but not much else (well, not much else that I WANT to tackle!:rotfl:).
4 - Planning a workout in the park.
5 - Going to visit an old friend (old as in age as well as time known) who needs a lot of support, together with a woman from a voluntary advocacy agency. It is always good to see her and I hope that she will accept some help, but in any case I shall be there for her.
6 - Anticipating the pleasure of eating leftover broad bean and mushroom risotto with saffron, from last night - might even make and fry rice balls if I feel adventurous enough!
Bye all, hope you have a splendid day
xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Hello, I'm a newbie but I like this idea of this thread - hope you don't mind me joining in...
1 - making one roast chicken stretch to three dinners
2 - finding out I can eat the tops of the onions off my allotment making them go twice as far
3 - sorting out some books for Book Crossing - thinking of leaving a few in Heathrow on Sunday:beer:0 -
Good afternoon everyone. I'm on early today too as I'm having a 15min mess on the computer before the starving hoardes (the children
) arrive home.
My five for today are:
1. I read the paper this morning in full :T I don't usually have the time so it was nice.
2. Washing loads x 3 dried on the line before the rain started half an hour ago.
3. A library trip over lunchtime with my best friend. I can't wait to have an early bath, put my jammies on & start reading.
4. A nice natter with my friend in the gardens next door to the library. We sat on a bench surrounded by beautiful & artfully planted things - credit where it's due to the local council.
5. Looking forward to watching Big Brother tonightI can't help it I love it :rotfl:
I hope that everyone else has had an enjoyable day too xx0 -
