Five OS Pleasures in your day today

lillibet dripping - good luck with the viewings! I remember last year when we finally got an offer on our house the feeling of exhilaration that we could move on and away (from a situation that was becoming unbearable). That was one of our biggest blessings ever. Let us know how they went.
I'm suffering from a nasty cold at the moment so my OS pleasures are getting me through!
1) Making fairy cakes with DS2 as he is learning 'oo' words at the moment (cook) - learning is tasty!
2) Attempting my first ever quiche and actually ending up with two. And both DH and myself agreed it was the nicst quiche ever tasted
3) Getting season 2 of The Wire out from the library and gearing up for a watch-athon.
4) After DH's vinatge watch going through the washing machine () he bought another from ebay and it turned out to be even nicer than described.
5) Making a point of asking DH and DSs what their favourite thing has been each day too? With some surprising and also heart-warming answers.
Have a great evening everyoneDFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Hi all,
Sorry i've been absent, DS is going through a growth spurt and feeding all the time, to add to it DD hasn't been sleeping well and poor old mummy is looking less than scrummy right now!!!
My pleasures today are- Playgroup for £1.20 (pretty cheap therapy and with free tea and biccies to boot)
- Gingerbread Latte made with Starbucks syrup that was given to me as a congratulatory present when DS was born by the manager of my local Starbucks (it was my pregnancy weakness).
- Knowing i have fresh clean bedding to climb into tonight
- Knowing that i have nothing i HAVE to do tomorrow unless i WANT to
- DH seeing the look on my face when he got home after a very long day and without needing to be asked whisking the kids upstairs for bath and bed so that i could half an hours quiet time.

lillibet - hope the viewings went well.
bellaquidsin - hope you get the supermarket offers today if you are going to try again!
sunnygirl - your marshmallow bars sound yummy.
teresite - welcome, it is lovely to have more people on board.
jollymummy - sounds like you had some lovely "me" time whilst at your mums and I'm sure she enjoyed her time with her grandchild (one of her pleasures).
hope those with colds soon feel better.
Mine for yesterday.
1. Came home from work feeling a bit stressed but went in the garden and cut back lots of things that needed cutting back so getting rid of my stress.
2. Planting some of the pots up and hoping we don't get any frost. Just need to remember to put them in if frost is forecast.
3. Realising that DS pays a separate insurance for his camera and it is already included on his house insurance so he has made a saving.
4. Friend ringing me just after 9 last night, saying she was expecting me to call earlier and had the wine and glasses ready - even though I was tired, decided to pop in to see her (she only lives down the road) and ended up having a really good laugh.
5. Fell into bed and asleep almost immediately as so tired.
6. Waking up this morning to more sunshine, so hoping to get some more gardening done when I get back in from work.0 -
Hi:hello:
Blimus hope your cold soon goes and you feel better
Terestria Welcome to this very uplifting thread.
Here are my five for yesterday:-
1. Taking a 30 min bus ride to Mr. A to search for yellow stickers, only got some salmon which we have not had for ages so it was a real treat.
2. Bus ride taking me through green fields, such a thrill for this city girl.
3. Lots of lambs in the fields, I love to see them.
4. Buying a skirt in a charity shop which will add a zing to my wardrobe, and I had enough money in my clothing budget to buy it.
5. DH loving the salmon dinner. We all thrive on praise.
Inspired by all you walkers I'm off this morning to walk up the hill for the bus and going to see if I can get the half price offers I missed on Monday.

4. Getting 3 cook books for £1 at the charity shop (sainsburys cakes and bakes with recipes that we used when we were at school for home ec - mum had similar sainsbugs books, Magurite Patten Dinners and supper parties book and a ready steady cook book).
5. Finding a link on here to mapmyrun.com and signing up to add in my walks - you make a map of your run (or walk in my case) and save it and it works out distance etc for you and speed based on what time you did it in.

Edit:
7. Trying out the oil cleansing method and realising just how far the £6 castor oil will go - will last for ages. And my sensitive skin seems to quite like the result.... waiting for the possible spots to come out nowworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Newlywed Not much wrong vibes on their way for the car
Shopndrop I always feel better after some time in the garden
Scrummymummy/Jollymummy Where would we be without DH's and Mum's to help with the children? My DH still comes in sometimes, takes one look at my face & starts to tell the children what to be doing & where to be doing it :rotfl:
((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) as needed to anyone else that wants/needs them.
My five for today are:
1. A lovely lunch of leftover twice baked potatoes & salad :money:

3. DH bought the infamous 'chippy tea' as I was at a college interview with DS1 until 6pm.
