I have done reading too!
To avoid all evil, to do good,
to purify the mind- that is the
teaching of the Buddhas.0 -
1) Finding a pack of turkey mince in the freezer that was yellow-stickered and now going to be turkey cannelloni for tonight's tea.
2) Doing a spot more on the Wii Fit so feel virtuous.
3) Going to take a trip around the market to try and find some bargains as well as buying local
4) Looking forward to a nice quiet night in with the OH
5) Sorting out some of my clothes drawers and giving what I will never use again (I refuse to say "does not fit!") to charity

Well Happy Saturday to you all. Mine for today and yesterday are
1) Seeing the sunshine. I was inside working all yesterday but it really lifts the spirits
2) Having Friday night to ourselves, when we ate
3) Smoked salmon salad, then rabbit in red wine, with potatoes in cream, red cabbage and some whoopsied GU puds. Never has a bottle of wine gone down so quickly or had so much effect ... But it was all home made and it saved us spending £50 on going out.
4) Finishing a good book - Private Peaceful - but it was very sad
5) Prospect of a coffee out with DH later on0 -

hi all...
my OS pleasures for today are0 -
Hi all - hope everyone has had a good day so far.
My five for today:
1. A (very) long lie in - I feel so much better for it :j
2. Sorting out washing :A
3. Throwing out our old bedding - nearly 20 years old
4. Making a dint in the ironing
5. Catching up with this thread - it's lovely reading all your garden and wildlife stories - it's inspiring me to try to rescue our poor back garden - at the moiment it's in a very sorry state - all rough grass and weeds0 -
Hi all
My 5 for yesterday & today are;
1) Catching up on much needed sleep & waking up feeling refreshed & ready to tackle the housework. :j
2) Getting lots of washing dry outside & spending 3 hours ironing so the ironing pile is no longer touching the ceiling & is more manageable.:embarasse
3) Sorting out my magazine pile & giving some away & putting xmas catalogues in recycling bin.
4) Due to the mild weather opened all the windows, allowing the fresh air to circulate the house.
5) Sitting down reading o/s threads with a cuppa in a clean fresh smelling house. :coffee:
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

I can easily lose time watching the wildlife too. I'm often to be seen standing on a footpath staring into the trees at long-tailed tits or song thrushes.
Today
1) Spending most of the day reading The Pioneer Woman Cooks, my new favourite website. She is so funny and has great recipes with step by step pictures plus printables. I'm dying to try her onion strings. She's writing a book:j
2) Having the kids disappear off with the neighbouring kids for the whole day. Dd is making dens with the girls next door and ds2 is playing on his skateboard with the lads from round the corner. 'Playing out' is not dead round our way.
3) Enjoying a long soak in bubbles with my new book -an old children's novel I remember enjoying as a kid which I bought for £2.76 from Amazon.
4) Pulling together a chilli in double quick time using my trusty stash of finely chopped veg hash from the freezer, plus frozen kidney beans, a lb of mince, some sweetcorn and some passata.
5) Remembering a bag of crumble mix in the freezer and using it to top some stewed rhubarb and a couple of wrinkled apples. I'd be lost without my freezer.
6) OH has gone out for bottles of beer:beer: and later we will be watching a Brother Cadfael from Lovefilm, well I will. We had Amelie last night which was absolutely wonderful.
